Alternate universe plot twist - the queen was behind the kidnapping, because it was the only way she could think of to get her knight to admit that he loved her.

It's both very sweet and badass that the queen broke into prison to help her knight escape.

The plan is to send in this charming knight to convert as many soldiers as possible before the queen swoop in herself 👍

As the questioner left the room, deeply troubled by the words of the knight, he couldn’t deny that… he was right… ‘Tyrant- cruel and vicious- stupid- pig with a crown-‘ he knew these words were true but to have heard them said aloud… ‘change sides….? Respect- care?-‘ And he- once this all was over the knight wouldn’t hold it against him?? He was utterly baffled. He had to admit though, the knight was right… he was only doing his job.. but then ‘Scared?!- how did he know?!-‘ he’d thought, going still as the knight continued to speak, promising escape. As he went through the halls to report, and send in the torturer, he found himself at a loss for what to do. He couldn’t just… abandon his wife and little girl… but he knew the knight was right… the king was a horrible man, and an even worse monarch. He wouldn’t let his wife daughter and down. He only hoped he could pull it off… • --- • --- • --- • --- • --- • “Hello…” He said as the new presence made itself known at the heels of the questioner. “Hello.” She replied simply, grinning slightly beneath her hood at his look of recognition and subsequent whispered “wh… your majesty…?” At which she nodded, coming close to kneel before him, removing her hood for a second and making sure to be quiet before replacing it, just in case. “What do you think Wynn?” She murmured in response to his bewilderment “I’m here to rescue you.” She added firmly, leaving, *_no_* room, for argument. “Yes of course I came all the way here for you..!” She said, smirking slightly, as if asking ‘what, dost thou have so little faith in thy queen?’ With her expression alone. “How did you get that disguise..?” He asked, still bewildered “very carefully.~” she replied, grinning once more. She smiled at him once more before saying “I heard what you said…” and he glanced away “you heard all the things I said about you…?” She nodded and asked if they were true, his response giving her pause to blush slightly, glad of the hood she currently wore. “You heard me say that I love you…?” He asked after her admittance, and she nodded once more. “Well I do…” he said, pausing a moment “not that this is.. a great time or place for… love confessions but…” he tricked off, his subsequent promise of a proper confession once home causing an ever so slightly deeper blush. “Now, can you get me out of these locks and chains please..?” He asked, “this is.. very, very uncomfortable…” he added, and her eyes looked him up and down a moment before she said “No.~” the slightest tease in her voice. “No..? Your majesty I-“ he protested, and she leaned forward to silence him with a gentle kiss “oh… well I definitely didn’t mind that…” he murmured when they parted, his own face now flushed slightly. “It’s oh- seeing me tied up ha- oh… *oh dear-…”* she had to grin at at his blushing fluster, still blushing herself. She smirked at his ‘torturer tactic’ comment and shook her head “it’s you- Ok…” he murmured. As he asked for one more kiss before they went home, she couldn’t deny him could she? Now untied, free from the tyrants castle, and in a sufficient hiding place for the day to wait for the cover of night, she had to smirk at his bewilderment that she would go to such lengths to get him back. “You wanted to look good for me when you rescued me…?” He asked, laughing lightly, and she nodded, chuckling slightly herself. Then she blinked back tears “I was so worried about you…” she murmured, voice shaking _ever_ so slightly. “No I- …I’m sorry that I let myself get captured.” He said, and she tried to protest but he went on. Explaining himself, telling her what happened. “Of course I have such faith in you Wynn…” she murmured, her tears finally winning out and spilling over. Promising to never leave her side as he consoled her, he asked her to look at him, and she did so, “with all of the gods as my witness… no matter what happens… from this day on.. until the end of time… I will always find my way back to you… and I will always be at your side… I will always be your number one defender… your confidant, your partner..” he said, smiling at her gently before kissing her again, which she had to admit, did ease her worries somewhat. “As long as you’ll have me…” he murmured, resting his forehead against hers. “I love you. So.. so much…” he added, squeezing her hand gently, causing her to smile as she replied, “I love you too… Wynn… my white knight…” her voice a mere murmur as they got up to go home. This was so good!! The implied hesitance and motives from the questioner? YES. The unwavering loyalty and stoicism from the knight? SO much yes!! And the emotions throughout? 🤌🤌🤌 chefs kiss!! And all throughout I can think of nothing except ‘a giRl wOrTh fIGhTiNg fOoOoOoOOoR!-‘ because yes lol Twas amazing as always Pingly! I had a little fun with a possible nickname the queen would have for her knight, cause Wynn means white and he _is_ her knight soooo- I had to lol Also, do not you dare stress about the ‘late’ post. (Cause it’s not-) things happen! And I’m sure none of us hold it against you. I certainly don’t!! Anyway, this was awesome!!
