I could of picked up a one owner yellow CV6 Monaro S2 auto for $6250 OBO in 2019 in QLD private, 87K's aye aye aye, hindsight ALWAYS BLOODY 20/20, had the cash available to put a nice exhaust on it & just have it as a weekend cruising car for a couple years too. Freaking Tovid!
I was 12 in 2002 when they came out. Always loved them. Thought they were the perfect homage to the original. This one is no exception. Brilliant work 👍🏼
I worked on the production line at Elizabeth when they first bought the very first pilot cars down the line to test all of the tooling. The first ever one to come down the line was a silver supercharged V6, just a pilot, not for sale but I remember it clearly.
Nice car and I really like the interior, it looks mint 👌 But… just in my opinion the wheels look a bit out of place, maybe a bit smaller diameter. I’m going to buy a ticket…
Yeah like the vl their giving away, it's on 20s ,just doesn't look right and the ride would be horrible, if I win it I'm going down to 18s ,will look better and ride better 👌
Im a big fan of the later gen of the CV8Zds and the later gen of the VZ GTO. I stll remember when the very first tv add came out for the new look Monaro and there solgan game over good memories
I don't mind the ol Munroe, always outa reach unfortunately. I like the vz ones in the smurf blue 👌 or with the gto look. I've got 6 entries in for tuff streeters vl Calais already which would be awesome to win but win or not I'll enter for the Munroe too lol Also entered the kir hks gtr giveaway ,now that'd be fn sick 👌 Probably sell the vn then, tip for new players don't turbo a v6 it's a nightmare, rip it out n go barra, rb or jz or ls lol
Monaro's are my absolute favourite Holden / HSV. So smooth. Although, I prefer the clean original shape rather than the VZ version or the HSV versions which ruin the shape for me. In the Sedans, I think the HSVs look better though.
Love the v2 Monaros. Brings back a lot of memories, that’s when I was doing my trade at Holden. Best place I’ve ever worked, the boys there and what we used to get up to, great times. Although they had a few issues, I’d still buy one tomorrow if they weren’t priced crazy. That’s my favourite colour in them too, got to drive a lot of them so that’s probably as close as I’ll get to one now haha
can still get them cheap if you look in the right places, i got my current monaro for a lot less than the others are asking and only has 115k kms. none of them on carsales are selling over 35k they just sit there
Just stumbled across this video while looking at Monaro vids. I'm actually the new proud owner of this weapon! I pick it up on Monday! Thank you for all your brilliant work on the car.
@@MindieJ If you find a VASS certified engineer in VIC who will pass turbo LS' make sure you hit me up. Otherwise I'm gonna have to weld the bonnet shut.
Did you build the white VL calais that's up for grabs now from Tuff streeters? I'm in that draw and am going to win it 💪then we can see how fast that Monaro really is
It goes to charity I believe + they're not greedy sobs like Lmct or the like. The lower entry no.s give better chances of winning, 1 in 4k shot , beats the 1 in 30 odd million chance winning the Lmct ones. Better chance winning the Lotto tbh 😂
The maths does add up, 4000 entrants/tickets @$30 a ticket =$120,000? This car would be no where near $120,000 to build? Plus the values put on some of the cars are not nearly accurate, either way great way to have a fighting chance at winning your dream car! Great stuff! 👌👌
