NEW LINK (2022): dlt.link/3NxHRXt After putting some use in on the LT Wright Outback after the First Impressions, Will from Mantis Outdoors and I break down the knife.
Great video as always . I snatched one up a few weeks ago and LOVE it . You can beat the hell out of it all day with no worries . L.T and DLT knocked this one out of the park👍👍
Hey Cris, your feathers are looking awesome. The price point for this knife is spot on and worth alot more. I still use my Terava Jakaripuukko 110 though.
Wow! That is one impressive tool. Thanks you two. // Next time let the twelve year old try it out. Kids always have interesting thoughts, quite often very different than grownups. It would be fun to hear his perspective.
+PREPAREDMIND101 great vid as always chris, if you havent done one how about a vid contrasting the different steels you reference alot with the knives, maybe comparing their abilities, strengths, weaknesses etc As someone that cant afford the higher end knives it would be cool to see the various steels compared. If you've already done this as a video, which one is it? :)
Nice knife! Really good price for a blade ones Grandkids could be using 50 years from now. FYI: Sportsman's Guide now has the Schrade Froe for about $25-27 and the Money Clip Blade for about $ 10-11, but there's S&H unless you have Buyers Club and the "Free over $49" yada yada yada. You know how they tend to complicate orders. Take Care.
I don't know why I watch these great knife reviews because it becomes a bit expensive after awhile,my first knife I chose a Gerber Bowie "which is still my favorite",then I purchased a master tanto, "I just had to have one, then I seen the A1 which I also had to have,on and on this goes,I'll be needing a truck soon just to carry my knives and now I'll be needing this one, when the hell will this all stop?.
Now sure how to best word this : I got a 6 inch ferro rod off Ebay. Thick like this one seen here. It throws 1/4 the sparks as yours. Are some ferro rods better then others? Maybe I havent used mine enough yet? All the black is off and just silver showing. I have scraped it with 10 diff metals and surfaces.
Yes. Some ferro rods are made better than others. Different blends and all that. Different steels don't matter. It's how "sharp" the edge you scrape it with.
She's a man eater or a meat eater or a something eater. Solid and tough but able to make a bushcraft bouquet like no other. Great steel, producing great knife retention. There is alway a buyer no mater the price. Companies would not make expensive knives if they did not sell. I guess you could say in some circumstances , do you want two cheap knives or one well made knife. ( except mora ).
I love this knife, and I want one but, I'm curious if the Lansky stones will do a good enough job on the edge when the time comes. I have zero experience with CPM 3V. Anyone with experience wanna weigh in??
Anybody like the horse head puukko knives, I got the double set one from the 40s from an auction looking to trade it has an untouched edge on it and needs reprofiling, I been thinking about reprofiling it and using it but maybe somebody is a collector.
doesn't matter who the maker is you have to do multiple tasks with the knife why because it a 3v blade it will still bend very easy I don't know about you but I go hiking 10 or 15 miles is my limit so far so if something should happen you might have to depend on the knife for all kinds of things it has to be a more thicker spine so the blade will not bend at all not saying anything bad
