Just what I needed 👍 A video showing steep, 'bumpy' ground would be good. I had sheep in a part of the garden and the grass started to grow in 'lumpy clumps'!

No problem I have just the place to test this for you.

I'm interested to know how close to the edge the Luba2 cuts. I have 100mm paving border and my Landroid covers this nicely. Can the Luba2 be mapped so accurately that it will mow to the edge considering the 100mm paving overlap. (In some places the paving is up against garden edging so there is no more room to move). Looking forward to your upcoming demonstrations.

I just posted a new video today that is not specific to how close it cuts to the edge, but you wil see in the footage that the Luba 2 can travel very close to the edge as long as it has good GNSS signals. The blades are about 5cm from the edge of the robot, so they should be able to acheive what you want if you have good open sky above. If not then you will need ot map the Luba 2 just on your lawn and you would probably have a little uncut grass on the edges. Luba 1 or 2 are definaltey the only wireless robots I have tested that does cut reasonaly close to the edge. All the others I have tested leave around 10-15cm of uncut grass.

@@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913 I was actually watching your next video as your reply came in! Yes it looks like it will do a nice neat edge job so long as I can guide it in a straight direction. My lawn edges are all straight runs so should be simple. Thanks for the info a great videos. Cheers

The inside and how easy you think it can be repaired. Luba 1 had problems with water inside. Maybe this is fixed with the new Version

Great video! Very interested to know how the anti theft system works if that can be demonstrated 🤓

Thanks, yes I will definately being taking a video on how the GSM Sim card works and then how this applies to the theft security of the robot.

Would like to see how the 2 does in deep shade and how it does on steep grades.

Yes I will definately be testing this in deeply shaded areas and steep grades. I should have this one done early next week.

Great video, excellent info - Thanks for posting, much appreciated! I've seen some threads on reddit, people talking about having success with placing the RTK antenna on a high location in an attic, tile roofing (albeit with low signal quality, but adequate to operate the robot) - It is hard to tell whether their success is true or false, no proof is presented - It would be awesome if you could give that a proper test - Yeah, obviously it is not a recommended location, but, It is pretty much the only option I got available to me, and it would be such a shame to buy Luba only to find out I am unable to use it - One might hope the new design of the RTK antenna, plus the addition of 4G simcard and the camera, enables luba 2 to operate better in difficult locations, compared to luba 1 Also, I heard mention that Luba now, due to the addition of the camera, should be able to park/charge inside, for instance in a garage - It would be really great to get confirmation on that. Thank you kindly :)

Thanks. I will be testing the parking under cover soon. With the mounting of RTK Base under roof, we don't have the same type of construction here in australia. We have very thick concrete tiles or metal roof lining, so it simply does not work here because the L1 and L2 GNSS signals do not penitrate (enough) these materials. The timber roof and thin shingle tiles I see in the US are obviously just ok to use the Base antenna under them, but I certainly would not recomend it as you are simply degrading the GNSS signals and decreasing the accuracy of the installaiton.

This might seem to be a weird thing to be concerned about, but are you able to change the tone or volume of those beeps in the app? Coz that really hurt my ears!

The sound can be switched off. But there is no volume control.

@@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913 that will work well enough. I actually decided I could deal with the beeps if I had to and ordered one from you a few hours ago! Very excited!
