In the _RealWorld™_ you'd be correct ... Except Lucifer does it regularly: He's stabbed defending Chloe and Axara. Chloe warns him not to pull it out. Guess what Lucifer does? (The aftermath is even less pretty. Lucifer saves Axara. She expresses her gratitude by giving *Chloe* concert tickets. Chloe uses them for a date with -Eve's oldest son- _!)_ Lucifer is impaled with a pool cue during that bar fight scene in Season 4, right after Chloe shows up unexpectedly. Chloe seems to ignore the potentially fatal injury like it happens every day. Lucifer removes it ...
@@ChaplainDaveSparks interesting how she was able after such a serious injury to go after Lucifer and shoot that bad guy to protect him and Rory. And later, at the end of the day, she was at his penthouse and didn't seem weak. After she was shot at the same place in the pilot few years ago she needed few days in clinic and even weared special bandage later
@@ChaplainDaveSparks well in the last scene you mentioned she wasn't such ignorant as you said. She was shocked but after seeing Lucifer's reaction she didn't do anything. He was too angry at her plus that time she knew he would be ok, because knew that he is a celestial and this wound will heal fast but without her being near
Dan was right back in Episode 5 -- Chloe was a strong woman even without Amenadiel's necklace (empowered by Azrael's Blade). She's such a _bad@$$_ even without it It reminds me of Maze's conversation with Chloe in the Season 1 finale where they team up to catch Malcolm: Maze: _"I wish I had my knives."_ Chloe: _"You won't need them."_ Maze: _"I never _*_NEED_*_ them!"_
@@oxanatarashchuk4598 Similar to 5x7 where Lucifer lost his mojo and felt the need to carry a gun. It came in handy, too. After Chloe lost hers in the fight with the _"Whisper Killer",_ she grabbed Lucifer's gun and finally shot him. Chloe not having her gun was actually only a plot device. Retired police officers are entitled to carry a concealed weapon in California. Even without that, she could have qualified for a CCW permit a lot more easily than Lucifer did. Oh, and Chloe's marksmanship has certainly improved since Season 1!
@@ChaplainDaveSparks I remember that scene 👍 Hmm... interesting. Didn't know about that... But are they allowed to carry a gun every time they aren't at home? Because in s6 ep1 when she went on a date, was it that necessary?
@@oxanatarashchuk4598 Well, about that ... Unless LAPD regulations have changed, off-duty officers were *REQUIRED* to be armed. Plus, is Chloe ever really _"off duty"?_ I remember a previous _"date"_ (though I shudder to call it that) in Season 4 that was interrupted by a phone call (and eventually led to the iconic _"axe scene")._ Ditto for another encounter with Lucifer at the end of 5x5 (one of the most beautiful scenes in the series, including the music and cinematography) that we later found out was interrupted by Ella's phone call. Perhaps not coincidentally, when Chloe left Lucifer at the piano to meet with -Kinley- _,_ Chloe was wearing her badge walking down the aisle of the church! I'm wondering if that was symbolically some indication that she had considered that to be her _"duty"?_
@@ChaplainDaveSparks maybe because she wasn't retired that time? And was armed in case she will be needed? I'm talking about police officers being retired. When they are allowed to have a gun, isn't that necessary to carry it every time they are not at home?
Rory's kidnapping was an indirect callback to the Season 1 finale, where Chloe's other daughter Trixie is kidnapped and the _DeckerStar_ power couple save her (over Chloe's objection to Lucifer going, that time). Only they weren't really a _"power couple"_ back then. They hadn't even *kissed,* not that _drunk Chloe_ didn't *TRY!* That seems to have been the semi-official end of _"ChloDan",_ which I have mixed feelings about. Chloe needed to break up with Dan to make room for _DeckerStar,_ but you could tell from her showing up at Lucifer's drunk that she had a *BROKEN HEART!* Regardless, I don't think Chloe and Dan ever stopped loving each other, even divorced and in relationships with other partners.
@@cesar-lf1jw I doubt it, but Lauren sometimes *ACTS* like it in real life (behind the scenes), so ... Chloe doesn't handle alcohol well, so when she gets drunk, expect strange things to happen!
Anyone else noticed she got stabbed right at the place she was shot in the pilot? Also another parallel - she turned out and pulled out the knife the same way as Lucifer in s3 ep17
You have to wonder about the aftermath of *THAT* as well. (At least Ella now knows.) What a _"strange"_ weapon to use! And, oh yeah, someone might want to call the *FIRE DEPARTMENT* and maybe consider evacuating the burning building. And maybe Chloe needs to work on an explanation of why an LAPD detective shot so many people in *VAN NUYS!* (Jurisdictions seem to be very _"flexible"_ on the show -- Santa Monica pier, Beverly Hills, Lancaster ... all separate cities from L.A.!) Or Chloe could just tell them the truth ... like she suggested in the Season 4 finale -- _"Our half-angel daughter from the future was abducted by her father's killer, who learned of her existence while he was possessed by the late Detective Dan Espinoza's ghost."_ IOW, _"just another Tuesday"_ on _Lucifer!_
@@ChaplainDaveSparks well she could explain that like she was saving a life of innocent girl captured by running from the prison killer and his accomplices. Also don't forget that this is DC Universe LA not "real" LA all the events took place
Surviving rule number one: Whenever you got stabbed and the knife is still sticking in your body or you have an accident and something gets stuck in your body in a similar way: NEVER EVER remove it, until a doctor removes it. The objects stops the blood. If you remove it, you are very much likely to die from the bleeding.
Hi guys, I have some kind of good news! Apparently the showrunners are working together again. I don't know if they are making more than one project, but one of them is a brainstorming for the movie's future script. When they have the story or stories ready (they want to make a Trilogy), they will reunite with Netflix. It is not a confirmation, but it is more information than 2 years and half ago. I would prefer a new series with the old main cast + a new main cast, but if movies are the best option, I will take it. Time will say! So, keep watching Lucifer and showing the cast and crew our support on social networks!
