Lucifer was actually serious for approximately 13 seconds, from when he throws Adam to the ground to when Charlie prevents his last attack. It took about 3 seconds for Lucifer to knock Adam out of the game with 1 attack, the rest was just him unleashing his rage.

i mean he IS God's favorite. Adam's only specialty is being the first man and being made in god's image. He's still below every other angels.

And while Adam is the first man, he's basically just bland in comparison to everyone else. His only achievement is being the first human. Great. But so were Lilith and Eve, even if Eve was created out of Adams rib. The only thing he's known for his that he bit into the forbidden fruit just like Eve did. He meekly followed her - and then they got cast out for it. When you think the normal human big guys, Abraham was the one that started the whole line of Israel - Jacob battled an angel/some versions say he even fought God himself. Josef and his brothers. Moses liberating the Hebrews out of Egypt and receiving the 10 Commandments. David, his struggles and his worst actions. Heck, Cain and Abel are more known than Adam.

I think he was FOR A WHILE, but it seems like there was a period before his fall where Heaven was beginning to judge him for his dreams and ambitions, and making him feel like they didn’t care about him anymore.

Plus, even if Lucifer isn’t the most loved angel anymore, he’s definitely the most powerful and most feared, if not the most respected. If memory serves, God meant for Lucifer to be THE most powerful archangel, period. He could be the most powerful character we’ve seen in the Hellaverse, but I think God, Satan, Roo, Lilith and Azathoth at least rival him.

In some interpretation of the bible, the apple is just a metaphor for sex and that eve's first child cain was Lucifer's/the devil's that's why god didn't accept his sacrifices leading him to kill his brother. So yeah lucifer in this story might have actually just slept with eve which could be the "first sin" that doomed man kind and created hell idk.

Or even go anywhere but Heaven regardless, because Heaven literally has everything you could ask for. The Exorcists are exceptions since Sera and her associates agreed to let Adam take them there (albeit against the knowledge of the rest of Heaven).

I think the only reason Velvette brought up fighting back is because they wanted to create a power vacuum in the overlord system. I don’t think they were ever planning on actually fighting

The Vees aren’t fighters. They had a vague, pitiful and half-formed plan to fight the angels, but no actual idea HOW to do it. As far as I can tell, Vox didn’t even succeed in making that security system he promised. They might have raised an army of their followers if they knew about the angelic weapons, but that still would have been more about cannon fodder-ing their way to success and then stepping in to take even more territory.

​@@dylanjones4889Yeah. They were probably aware that Heaven was speeding up the next extermination because of the dead angel they found, but likely not that they were coming to wipe out all of Hell. If it were me, I would assume Heaven was just gonna use the next extermination to hunt down whoever or whatever killed the Angels, then hopefully go back to the standard yearly cycle. And I assume the Vees thought the same, hence how relaxed they are in their tower. That aside, if the Vees wanted the Overlords to pick a fight that would get them killed then they should've used the Exorcist head to market a fake weapon that could kill the angels. Atleast some of the others will try and test it out of curiosity, pick a fight with an Angel, then die or get severely injured. The Vees of all Overlords would've thought of this, but I think they really did want to pick a fight out of greed or at the very least just probe info from the others.

He doesn't gain it, it forms from the snake and apple on his hat, he's had it the entire time.

Lucifer always had it, he just changes the shape of his halo. Plus he was never "at his limit" at any point in the series

he's also got a hint of a 'glow' off him too if you look close enough... and considering he's had the wings, the 'halo', and the horns of a devil...

To be fair, it was sort of implied that Lucifer spent the last several hundred thousand(?) or more years depressed over his fall and regretting the creation of Hell, and that he’s getting back to his old self now that he and Charlie had their heart to heart. Lilith may or may not be a villain (we’ll know for sure in s2), but it’s possible that she tried to make it work for all that time and finally reached her breaking point. It can’t be fun to know your husband might love you BUT ALSO regrets the thing that brought you together and gave you the kingdom you share.

In the Bible Lucifer is second only to God and one of God's only two favorites along with Michael. Lucifer was the brightest, most luminous, and handsome angel there was. But because of his Pride, he thought himself God's superior, he was cast down to hell where he became its ruler. Also no, that was not Lucifer's full fight mode, I believe we still have yet to see him go full fight mode and ever get fully serious.

Also the other thing is if Lucifer is like Vaggie and lost a lot of power and became way weaker when he was cast out than this is a weaker version of Lucifer we see rather than the absolute unimaginable power he used to have, but still is way stronger than most other entities in Hazbin Hotel.

He hit adam like he was teaching his son how to fight but all in all he still has some level of skill if he can hold himself back so much all of hell doesn't shake with his presence

I mean they said it before, angels are invincible so they never had to learn how to fight. On top of that you're Lucifer morningstar, the strongest of heavens angels, I don't think you have to learn anything.

If this is his power with that kind of form, imagine how strong he'd be if he actually learned how to properly throw a punch

@@Floweramon i mean to be honest, how do we know he doesnt? he's in a tangle with someone who's so low on the totem pole that he used to be human, not a native born angel let alone archangel, and as adam proved, an ounce of effort was more then enough to put him down in seconds. he may just not give enough of a shit about adam to actually fight

Yeah, Lucifer could fully know how to properly throw a punch and put his absolute full power into one, but chooses to use his absolute minimum effort at the beginning with just as lightly as possible pushing his fist against Adam's face. Then at the end he started to pull back just ever so slightly for his punches. And yet even with the first punch Adam took it almost looked like the equivalent of a human getting hit by a semi-truck at full speed.

I think those were the only times Lucifer actually showed any effort. Both only when Charlie was in danger. Definitely won some points for dad of the year.
