Hearing the intro song again with the video in 240p really made me feel, if just for a moment, that I was back in the golden era. Truly, aging is bittersweet.
I watched thsi anime as it was airing back in 2007, in Crunchyroll, way back when it was just another anime site, before it went woke and pozzed. Indeed, a whole diferrent era. 17 years ago...
Also, I’ve always liked mayonnaise with some other condiment as well, dill relish makes a delicious tartar sauce and ketchup makes something a bit more tart but still silky smooth, and it mellows mustard out excellently, how do you guys like to do stuff with mayonnaise?
I was really baited and switched with that; my initial exposure to the show was a compilation of the Domon Kasshu Anime Store manager. Then a friend got the DVD and I was like "what is this?!" Glad I stuck with the show despite that whiplash.
“Sure she’s got the maniacs but I still have my pedophiles” IS CRAZY OH MY GODDD XD I don’t remember hearing that when I used to watch lucky stars back in the day
Man, I love it when YT outta nowhere gives me free stuff to watch. Movies, cartoons, indie animations, (and of course the standard, video game let's plays)
@@OfficerMugiif all my assumptions are correct, absolutely. Man I took it so for granted, nowday these types of things are so uncommon. All the popular stuff is just hyper stimulating copyed garbage.
@@Ann-Abel Yes, I remember how back in the day it was common to see full anime and other tv shows on yt. I remember watching most of Sonic X in polish on yt years ago lol. Unfortunetly after a certain date yt started cracking hard against it. Now it's a rare sight, I am suprised that I found this through recommended videos. Made me remember the better times even though I never actually watched lucky star.
Bro I had no idea the Lucky Star dub was this fucking good. Like it's just genuine fun and the characters sound like a natural translation of how they sound in Japanese. I gotta watch this whole video some day.
People shit on me for watching English subs but the fact is that some if not most anime’s have pretty superior dubs, plus I find that jokes are more funny localized
Making half the first episode about how to eat things was honestly so genius . Everytime I have a popsicle I think about the optimal way to get the last bite; I’ve only watched 2 or 3 episodes of lucky star but I think about that purple haired girl and the last bite of her popsicle regularly
Been telling myself to watch lucky star for months now but since the gods of the RU-vid algorithm decided to gift me with this guess I'll be here for the next 9 hours💀🙏🏽
The RU-vid algorithm decided I would watch this so now is finally my time to binge lucky star edit: this show is just some girls yapping for 9 hours and it’s art
9 year old me is throwing up and crying bc they finally found part 5 of episode 6 in 3 minute segments miyuki my glorious bisexual awakening you will always be famous
I flew through 11th grade without ever realising i was the same age as the girls. And now that it's all over, i get the full 24 episodes recommend to me. Weird
I used to watch anime on RU-vid using my iPod Touch when I was in middle school. I’m now in my 20’s watching this on my iPhone, we have finally come full circle
I was 12yrs old when I bought a Lucky Star DVD at Sakura Media while travelling to Vancouver with my family in 2008. I was obsessed with their banter in the few episodes I watched repeatedly... Watching this now at 28yrs old, I'm surprised at how well this held up and how much better it is now that I understand some references. So grateful this came on my RU-vid recommendations!
1: I've never heard the English Dub of Lucky Star! So this is weird, but a good weird! 2: RU-vid needs to bring back these animes on in bad quality like they used too!!!!
I remember watching this show in middle school and casually watching it a second time in high school. Now I’m about to graduate college and so many memories are flooding back to me- what a comfort show
Man this takes me back to 2006 sitting in my room after school and winding down with Lucky Star. It is such an underrated simple pleasure anime and it is still one of my favorites 😊
I remember watching this as a kid (I probably shouldn't have been watching anime at 6-8 years old but it was common in my family) and it holds a special place in my heart. I used to watch it on low res in a little box on the side of the screen. Amazing times.
Flashback to 2016 In our first week of middle school we had to introduce ourselves in French class through what we did last day and i vividly remember saying "I watched Akidearest's is anime sexist video essay and c'est interesting, I also started a series called Lucky Star en anglais in 360p sur RU-vid et um la 1er épisode est slow but les other épisodes are merveilleux." Idk if i did the dance infront of class then but remember doing so at some point. Miraculously wasn't bullied for it at all bc nobody understood wtf i was yapping lmao💀
finally, something to watch while my friend is struggling to finish packing her bags to the airport. It's 1am. We leave 5:30. I want to die. let's see if this restores my faith in friendship.
@@alexsmells1356 lmao I forgot I made this comment Yeah, I ended up going to sleep at 1:30 (she had her bags all over the place I was supposed to crash that night so I had to wait for her to clean up) and she slept maybe like, 20 minutes? but we made it Her flight went well as well I then had to go straight back to an extra long dance practice, it truly was pain
Man something about this show is hypnotic. Nothing is happening and yet I can’t stop watching. It’s soothing. I’ve been dealing with a bad OCD spell lately and this has kind of helped keep my brain quiet. Thanks for uploading it ❤
This anime and Haruhi is what made me make an Anime Club at my high school during my Senior year. I even had a Brigade Leader arm band from Haruhi cisplay item.
As someone who hasn't consumed a single ounce of lucky star content, I'm about to waste a good 9 hours of my life to understand why people talk about this anime. Edit: I have finished it; It's charming. I heavy liked the part where Konata's mom came in to see what was happening with her and Konata's dad, it's too wholesome for it's own good. Also Minoru had a valid crash out, he's my goat!
I would’ve killed for this collection back in middle school. I kept switching between the English dub and Japanese sub every time I try to find the next episode lmao.
I remember watching this as a kid (I probably shouldn't have been watching anime at six but it was common in my family) and it holds a special place in my hear. I used to watch it on low res in a little box on the side of the screen. Amazing times.
i just got done watching the whole show and man i- i loved it every second of it now i just feel sad that it’s over not being able hear “next time on lucky star” again but hey what can you do thank you random stranger for uploading all of this to youtube i and many other had the time of their lives watching this. i don’t really know what else to say now thats its all over but i’ll end off with a quote “man this sure was a lucky star huh konata”-goerge washington idk
