I'm binge watching Gilmore Girls again on Netflix.. Cause I Love this show so much!! Luke & Lorelei are my favorite couple.. And it is helping me cheer up some from losing my Dad few months ago to Congestive heart failure.... I Love this song that Luke & Lorelei first waltz.. Does anybody know what the name of song & who sings it.. My husband & I are going to renew our Vows next year.. I would like that song be our first dance.. We pretty much eloped 11yrs ago.. So we never had all our family there to enjoy our Day together. And now my Dad won't be there either but in spirit he will.. So if anyone knows please let me know.. This is one of the sweetest, most adorable scenes of the series 💖 Luke has known for 8 years - but this is the moment she realizes she is completely smitten. The looks she gets are just so innocent/pure & SO darn cute! Lauren is such an amazing actress 💃🏼🕺🏻
@@rossen8384 correct. She was the driving force, yes Alexis was vital as well but if Lauren wasn't an amazing actress this show wouldn't have worked. Excellent casting and watching this show back (early seasons only) to me, it still holds up well.
I HATE it when ppl hate on this show, so what if the characters weren’t perfect that’s what this show is about being perfectly imperfect and happy. Girlmore girls is perfect😢
Maybe its because people love the characters so much they cant stand the sloppy writing/dialogue they are given? 10 years and no discussion of marriage or children? Unrealistic.
Meh, I don't have to look at their fictional relationship as a whole, the show because of the inconsistent writing/storylines as the seasons went on...... Like the office with Jim and Pam , first 3 seasons for them was the best, later on they were hit and miss imo. Same like Luke and Lorelai, I think first 4 seasons or so, when Luke found out he secretly had a kid I checked out. (Also didn't care for that dog😖)
I truly believe this scene isn't acting. I meant just look at it....... It's the realest scene in the entire show. That's not to say other scenes aren't as real but the dance is one of those moments which indicate truth.
@Onion Face- I think they are pretty equal in my opinion. There was definitely a spark in her eyes when she looked at him. I respect your opinion though.
I love how they start the dance with so much proper distance inbetween, but slowly get closer & closer until she lays her head on his shoulder. TOP5 most beautiful, meaningful & heart touching moments of the entire show, possibly in TV history. It's so well acted, a pure and natural moment between two souls starting to connect. There was no coming back from here!
I think that here is the moment, when both of them "jump in" and especially she finally admits to herself what everybody around them knew from the beginning (and what also Luke and Lorelai knew from the moment when they met first time).
This is by far the best scene in the show. It was beautiful and the lighting was perfect. The fact that the dancing wasnt perfect, just added to the scene. We couldnt believe that Luke was a good dancer. Now could we?
I love whole this scene, talking before dancing and the dance itself. How they start dance far away from each other and step by step they bring nearer and nearer to each other. And how he looks on her whole the time! And Lorelai is also awesome - she seems to be quite surprised at the beginning, but then she is completely swallowed by the moment, I think that there on the wedding is the moment, when she finally started realise and admit to herself what everybody knows from the beginning of the series. They both are cute! And the song is beautiful!
This is by far my favorite scene. I freaking love them together! I love how she says "Really?" and I love how they start kinda far apart but move in closer together as they continue to dance. I also was so happy this was their wedding song! I ship them so hard, lol

I love and adore Lauren Graham. Have watched GG, Revival and Parenthood. I go back and rewatch episodes whenever I can. She's so underrated. Can't believe she's only been in two proper tv shows.
I am a 12 year old girl who started watching Gilmore Girls with my Mom. My Mom had my big sister at 16 much like Lorelei and Rory. Her dad and my Mom are still close like Chris and Lorelei. Me and her have always watched this show every night, never getting old. One night I told her I want this song to be my “First Dance” song when I get married and she cried. Thank you Gilmore Girls.
Oh, how I underestand you. Now I am rewatching GG, I fell in love with my youngest years´s favourite series (and especially with Luke :) ) again and because of this song I have taken my guitare after a very long time and now I am playing this beuatiful song almost every day.
They do get closer! Lorelai does it, she gets closer and closer, and then that look...ahhh! It's totally romantic. Could someone post up the scene where Luke walks her home and then he turns away and Lorelai kind of whirls around with this shocked look on her face? Thx. Cute moment.
I love the way he looks at her! It takes great acting to portray passion and he does it better than most anyone. I also love the way they start the dance at a distance, but by the end, she's close with her head almost on his shoulder. They are meant for each other!
I know this scene is all about Lorelai and Luke but what really makes me swoon is the look of affection TJ and Liz share at 0:27 before they hit the dance floor
Damnit! I’m 5 years too late and am watching this show for the first time. I had to keep rewinding lol cause my heart couldn’t take it! I know the gist and kinda of how it ends but gosh I love this show. 😻 I love Luke in this episode and throughout the show. He’s amazing and loves her so much! 🥺 can’t wait to see how the rest of this plays out. Oof 😅 he looks great too and these two are just so adorable.
I agree... did you see how far apart they started and how close they ended? That always gets to me! Sigh... they were amazing. We need them back on tv! Bring GG back!

The ammount of my "idiot smiling" when watching this amazing series (in various moments, but especially when watching this scene and many "their" others after L + L started dating) is really very high. :D I think that this series is 100% winner in the ammount of my idiot smiling during the watching TV series (when I include also movies, maybe Lost in Translation could be in the first place :D)... So I underestand you very much. ;)

Those two actors couldnt have played those characters as great as they did if there wasnt some actual fellings for each other. If they didnt have actual feelings for each other or if there was a fued between the two of them it would have showed on screen.
I agree, plenty more seasons, the grand mother is hilarious abd Luke&Lorelai shdve had a happy ending, imagine another season they marry and have kids, my god there's so much mileage in that show, thepopularity ofthe inn, More staff, more fun, Rory comes back and -.........such a shame
