i always loved those lines too... just the way she tells him about it, and leaves out the kisses cos she's uncomfortable to tell him that. tis purrfect...
Anyone else realize it's like 8 months or something between when Lorelai has that dream and tells Luke about it? I can't remember my dreams (good or bad) for more than an hour after I wake up...she must've been really obsessing over it to remember all the details exactly! ;) IMO Season 3 was the best season :)
GreatSkies29 Me neither. I too am surprised on how Lorelai can remember her dreams for such a long while. She must have a really strong memory to be able to remember something like that even after most of the season. I on the other hand would have completely forgotten about it and not been able to share it with Luke. She is very lucky that she can remember her dreams, although there was no mention to exactly how long her memory is
if i don't think much on a dream as i get up and get into my day, then i don't remember it. but many stay with me. i would *definitely* not forget a dream like that~!
Ahahaha! "I can't put up the towel rack until later, I didn't bring my drill." "Hmpp-" "DIRTY! Yes, I know!" AHAHAHAHAHA! I loveeeeeee that parttt! That's so funnyyy.
This is an awesome video! She had some of my favs, especially the fishing scene where it's SO obvious Luke has feelings for her and Lorelai senses it and is not doing a good job of hiding her own feelings. Luke/Lorelai are the best!
I LOVE this season! Man, the way she told him about her dream! She could admit to being pregnant by him, but not kissing him? Hello! You have to do a WHOLE lot more than kissing to make a baby! CUTE! Love L&L! So perfect!
Because the mental gymnastics she has to do to make pregnant, and I quote; "WITH TWINS!?!?" a plausible scenario are infinitely more complex than the notion that they might kiss - The idea of kissing him might even have crossed her conscious mind a few times, if only fleetingly, strikes a cord that resonates within her on some level. Pregnant with their twins however is like her taking a trip to Mars - basically a joke, miles removed from her conscious mind. The pregnancy with Luke may be a subconscious urge to have them be a couple, a family even, the whole romantic package, but her conscious mind hasn't noodled that yet, so the wish/pregnancy comes across to her conscious self as ludicrous - A joke, something she isn't invested in. She can tell him about the joke, but the kiss is closer to her heartstrings.
