Luke Bryan falls on stage after slipping on fan’s phone 

After much struggle, I was able to meet Luke Bryan When we walked into the room, I was so nervous, but he was so friendly and down-to-earth. It was like talking to an old friend. He even sang a few lines of my favorite song just for me! I'll never forget this moment.

People throwing crap on stage is stupid.

Why would anyone trash their phone in the first place ? We are living in a world filled with idiots..

I’m 74 years old ,I’ve been to literally hundreds concerts ,back in the day I was sometimes high ,never drunk ,took acid once ,we would toss a beach ball around ,I’m talking about bands like KISS, The Stones ,David Bowie ,Cheap Trick ,The Scorpions ,but nit once did we hurl crap on the stage ,it’s just completely unacceptable in my opinion,it’s a damn good thing Luke Bryan wasn’t seriously hurt and a sense of humor about it ,what the hell is wrong with people ??????

People who throw their phones on stage shouldn't be allowed to have them back.

There should be a 0 tolerance to throw things on stage . I would just hand it to their security to hand it to the artist that way

They should go back to banning cellphones and recording devices at concerts. You can get seriously hurt by falling and landing in the wrong position. It’s just disrespectful. I feel like the audience will have to be pushed further back from the stage and monitored.

That could've been a lot worse. I fell the same way (not bc of cell phone) and broke my left leg and tore my ACL and MCL. Just had surgery yesterday and will be on crutches for 3 months. Luke is very lucky he didn't suffer a bad injury.

that fall is no joke. I broke my coccyx and smashed two discs taking a fall like that when i was only 13 yrs old. worse pain i ever experienced and in chronic pain to this day. broken bones are visible in x-rays. Luke, however, seems to have recovered quickly.

I would NEVER be like those fans, I'd keep them away from Luke. I would understand the fence part, but for a person with a physical and visual disability like myself, I wouldn't want them to stand up to see clearly. It makes it unfair when people at big stadium and arena venues violate the ADA guidelines. People should be more aware of people with disabilities, and include people like me in their concerts and make it more safe for people and the artists. They are more than just performers, singers, songwriters, etc. They are regular people like all of us, and we should respect his safety and privacy. We can still interact with him and talk to him in a friendly way, let's just stop all the phone throwing please and make it safe for everyone.

This all boils down to parents not allowed to discipline their children like they need to be disciplined. You can have fun without putting others in danger! This country is going down hill too fast for me.

Why would you throw your phone or any objects, that’s just ridiculous. If this continues, they’ll start putting a fence or plexiglass around the stage to protect the performers.

30 years of concerts most grunge or alternative rock and the only time i seen anything tossed on stage were beach balls or balloons the bands released into the crowd. Saw a fan get on stage to get a broken guitar at end of seether concert in a club 20 yrs ago and that didnt end well. guy got beat up by security then taken to jail. i cant believe hard core rock fans are more respectful than country and pop fans. just pay for the vip meet and greet or mail a photo with return envelope and postage to the celebrity. Include a nice letter and a $5 bill or so and thank them for taking the time to sign it. tell them if they dont want the cash to donate it to their favorite charity. I met and drank beer with lot of famous rock bands over the years after the concerts. they all been super cool super polite super appreciative that you are a fan and came saw them and were glad to do pics and sign stuff and chat over beers a while. You just have to respect their space and ask if its ok before taking pics or hugging or shaking hands. and they will do same for you. Like the football saying when you make a touch down. act like you been there before. act like they arent 1st famous person you met. act like they just some random person in the check out line by you.

I saw this first hand, and I am actually in the video clips shown here at the front of the pit. Luke slipped on the leftovers of Dierks Bentley's shotgunned beers from the previous set, not a cell phone. There was someone wiping it up with a towel during the following song.

Why isn’t there a ‘buffer zone’ between the stage and the fans? Letting them get that close is inviting potential danger. Some ‘nut job’ can easily leap onto the stage, reach over and grab at, or slash at the ankle.
