It's crazy to think that throwing 94-95 is really good and then there's guys that throw 10mph faster
@SluggerStark
@SluggerStark 3 года назад
Yes. And most people have absolutely no perspective or idea just how hard even 90mph is. 100+ mph is absolute gas.

Nolan Ryan was clocking over 100 back in the days not to mention 7 no hitters and the strike out record which no one in this lifetime or the next will probably break like Rickey Hendersons stolen base record that won't ever be touched . why do people act like this is new ?

I saw this video of Luke last week right after it happened. His pitching instructor is my son's instructor. He was warming up at 103 mph before hitting this 105 mph. Now imagine how much reaction time you have with him being 6'8". This is right outside of Charlotte, NC Robby.

queue back to buzzfeed remaking their video to "why it is impossible for a human to throw 115 mph"

Being able to throw that feed has less to do with mechanics and more to do with being born that way

It's SOOOO very cool and beautiful to watch a pitcher top 100mph, but my question is do they know how to pitch and locate, come game time?????......... IT'S SEXY THROWING 100mph+, can they take thru 7-innings, there's a difference between throwing hard and pitching!!!!! e.g. Greg Maddux..........

Idk how you could continously throw that hard absolutely amazing

Staumont has the injury free delivery. Luke Little will have a higher measure of degrees of external rotation per second leading to increased risk of UCL fatigue and tear.

Nolan Ryan was clocking over 100 back in the days in 3 different decades during his time with 7 no hitters and over 5000 career strike outs playing 27 years! No one in this lifetime or the next will ever accomplish that guaranteed

I'd call that fastball " big foot", because I've only heard of it, never seen it.

Can you please do a breakdown on Sam Coonrod throwing 100? I just do not understand how someone so small, as in being about the average height for a pitcher, can throw so hard.

Billy Wagner is 5’10” and hit 101, and Tim Lincecum hit 100 at 5’11”.

Maybe it's the camera angle, but they both appear to be throwing slightly across their bodies. Something to watch out for as they get older.....can strain the rotator.

I saw the same thing, especially with Little. He uses it well to project force up through his core to his arm, but yeah, ultimately it represents his lower body competing to an against his upper body.

Luke throws across his body, no? (Look at his foot strike versus where his heel is on the rubber; Staumont is much more linear to home plate.) Part of that adds upward force through Luke's kinetic chain to his arm, but typically that represents some inefficiency with the lower body working against the upper body. it's scary to think that he could actually throw harder!

They have full body elastic strength. That’s the type of strength guys get walking around all day with 100 lbs weighted vests and then doing flexibility stretches in the process. Forget arm curls and bench presses. Run two miles with dumbbells in your hand.

Josh Saumont has great mechanics. Luke Little opens way too much during his follow through.
