I really think the txq model is more accurate than the Xeno model. The only exception would be for the arrows to light up, but as far as proportions go, the first one wins.
They light up but not like the real thing. The green light should light up when you turn the blade on and the red light should when you put it off. Now they are just on all the time. Or am I mistaken?
Great review, loved it. You always nail all the relevant stuff. I thought the weathered one and it's updated version where TXQ sabers version, and this version is from Nexus, so although they look similar and come from the same vendor they are actually made by different companies and have different electronics in them.
Pure wannabe here. I rewatched Starwars ep 4, 5 and 6. I was sooo amazed to watch all of them again, props and lore are so nice. Planning to buy top top high quality Vader and Luke sabers. It can be kinda hard to find because there are a lot of workshops for this. Your videos helps me. Thx Sir.
I much prefer Luke's saber in THIS condition. If you watch the scene in ROTJ where Vader inspects Luke's saber, it has a finish pretty much just like this one. The weathered one is definitely a cool looking piece, but for original on-screen accuracy, I prefer this. Awesome piece!
When Vader is hold the saber that’s the one and only time you see that version on screen. The main saber is the V2 and that’s what you see Luke with in most of the movie or a version cast of the v2. The “hero” is seen for 2 seconds. I do have the V2 on the way for review.

How do you know which version you'll get? I have the second version without the lights but was thinking of trying to get the latest light up box with the buttons moved to the black ones.

apparently these also have melt? where you stab forward pressing button to initiate melt and twist to change melt colour but I've not seen this on the app or in any demo, a feature im looking for before making my purchase, people have said it does have the melt effect just wondering why it isnt a function on the app
Xeno has top drag I haven’t come across a melt effect that changes colors or anything. Nor is that in the app. I have seen it on Proffie. I’ll dig around the Manuel one day and see if there’s anything in that.
@@TheCollectorsOutpostfound out melt is hold button and stab forward, same as hold and stab back is lightning block there are melt on melt and melt off sound effects also but these need to converted they are correct .wav file and mono but they need to be converted to 44hz, there is a youtuber who has converted them all and made a drop box link I found his video from a saber reviewer called Paul, if you search xeon3 melt effect fixed you'll find his video, but I have just recently ordered this saber currently awaiting delivery, hope this helps!
I have the second version of the weathered one, I didn’t realize they made a third with a light up box. Is there a way to mod that into the other versions? I like how this one uses the black buttons instead of the arrows, I’d like that on mine, too.
Can anyone help me by explaining what the blade plug is for? I’m trying to set this up for my son and for the life of me cannot fathom it out. Many thanks.
Some saber’s have a more aesthetic grip than a functional one. A real lightsaber’s blade is weightless. 🤷♂️ Get a cheaper compatible hilt for swinging and duelingg
Many sabers are not great for the hand. Vader is one of them. That’s why when you see BYS footage of the movies they use flat smooth sabers (stunt sabers) unless it’s a big close up. A few sabers cut my hand on first swing hahaha
Pulling the trigger on the Luke (ROTJ) saber, however, I cant decide which company to purchase from - Vader's Sabers or Art Sabers. Who has the better quality saber? Can someone help direct me? yes, I am newb.
They both sell TXQ and Nexus sabers so no difference in quality. Vaders sabers has some higher end stuff like 89 sabers and elf sabers along with a custom weathering service if you want your sabers weathered up.

@@TheCollectorsOutpost I have tried several ways but have never got it to connect, sometimes the saber doesn’t even come up when I search for nearby devices and then when it does it just says connection overtime, slightly annoying haha because I’m trying to up the sensitivity of the flash on clash!
I find the signal strength of the blue tooth is quite weak on some of my Xeno3 sabers. What I have found is that exposing the core by unscrewing the pommel usually helps with this. I think being in what is effectively a metal shield adversely affects the strength of the radio signal. I also had an instance of getting the overtime message with one of my sabers which would then not connect at all with the app. I ended up going to the bluetooth settings on my phone and 'forgetting' the saber (usually shows up there as Damien Saber). Once I had done this and re-paired the saber with the app no more connection problems. Hope this helps.
@@paulsstuff1969 sadly I’ve tried all these things and it still won’t connect, fully charged the saber and then straight away removed the pommel and tried to connect, the saber showed up as ‘Damien saber’ however the same connection overtime error carried on coming up on the screen :(
