Hitman's lume is nuclear bright! I may have to wear sunglasses to read it in the dark🤣.It is silly for Orient to cut down on the lume, well, maybe there are other cost cutting measures in areas that we don't see. Great video, Shane, Thank you.
Yep. I have a Hitman but not the full lumed model. Green dial w/yellow second on leather. Black bezel insert with full lumed minutes. They do good lume for sure and attention to detail for the price. I am a fan of WISE.
Signum Lume GMT is my favorite travel watch. I even wear it with a suit for weddings abroad. It is surprisingly understated, and the bracelet has excellent lightplay.
What a fantastic bunch of watches. That Revelot is something else but why did they make the hands so short? It looks a bit odd. That Wise Hitman looks like it could double as a flashlight!
I absolutely love the lume on the Wise Hitman but the watch is too big for my 6.25” wrist. Hopefully they will make a smaller version at some point. Loved the video Shane
Happy Halloween! Great video of great lume. Thanks. I always love your content. You and Dave and Alton have those great collection conundrum collaborations that you all do. Keep the great content coming.
It's always a pleasure to see your review: so many watch brand i don't know! I would be very interested in your opinion of a french watch manufacturer: Bohen. Their last watch, the 1000m Stardiver is probably the best "quality for price" watch actually. i would be very curious to see how it competes in the ferocious area of lume :) Kind regards
Great show, Shane! Thanks, I was afraid we weren't going to have Lume-O-Ween this year. It really was a great year for lume, and even though the Hitman was the obvious winner, you surprised me with some of the choices. Good surprises, though. I really don't need another diver, but the Hitman is so good it is hard to pass on getting an Emperor watch. The RZE is cool also.
Sorry seeing this late. Great review dude! I enjoyed your review and analysis. Have you considered doing a review of multiple fully lumed dials like the Wise one? I seen a couple reviews. Your videos and macro shots are always on point.
Very nice! But full lume dials need solid black hands for superior contrast in both day and night. Lume on lume is terrible to try to see. See the Damasko DA37 or DA47 for how it's done!
This is true. Although I have noticed the hands are easier to make out here than some other fully lumed watches. I think it's because of the wider metal border before the lume starts. Black would have been better, but still helps them stand out more.
Pro-tip. All Amazon UV torches are woefully dangerous. When the watch crystal reflects directly into your eye it’s doing damage. I know it sucks but grab some eye protection.
this is true. Not something many people ever think about, it's always a good idea to protect your eyes. Luckily my regular glasses have some UV protection on the lenses.
I'm not sure if it was even out in 2023. But mostly because I've never seen it. Generally I don't talk or rank anything I haven't seen or tested myself.
Good review. However, don't get duped into paying because someone claims it Damascus Steel. One school of thought is that there was never such a thing. While another claims it wasn't made in Damascus. If it did exist, it most likely was produced in India.
Are you refering to the new one, I didn't think it was out yet? Either way Lume-O-Ween is always limited to watches I've seen and tested since the last Lume-O-Ween. That way I can gaurentee they have good lume.
Usually I agree with you, but that Revelot is just plain ugly, light or no light, sorry just my opinion. The rest are fine, I'd take any of them over the Revelot.
Absolutely useless lume. There is zero contrast between the hands and the dial, so basically, unless you have perfect vision, the hands are pretty much invisible at night. I know, I got a 'lume war winner' just like that.
The Wise isn't as bad as some others I've seen. The framing on the hands seem wider and that helps, but I know what you mean. Lots of fully lumed watches the hands just blend into the background. Which is why Laco uses straight black hands for their fully lumed watches.
Can anyone help a peep out? How does the bertucci x1 lume dial compare? I am in the market for a lume dial field watch and my options are limited. I need it all night long.
