Good point about restricting the focus points/zone. Presumably a lot less processing is required so faster refocus.

Thank you so much. I was trying to record a video but it would be really hard to autofocus on the small object when I would hold it up. Using the 49pt area and the little positive sign really helped me understand my camera a lot more.

My camera does everything here in live view mode. But as soon as I hit record and it starts recording it stops autofucusing. Why? I have it on AFC.

Nice video. I thought the AF reacted nicely here (except maybe once near the end when it took an extra second to focus on your hand when it was very close). I think I learned about the AF Sensitivity setting from another video of yours. Did you have it set at +2 while shooting this video?

In short, choose 49-point mode and set where on the touch screen. A large-box single point works as well, I think, but more flexibility for smaller focus areas. Don't go too small though for video.

Why is my G80 not auto focusing in M movie even though continuous AF is on?

Hey, i saw in your video, that you have much more stops for iso setting than my g80, i can only choose 200 - 400 - 800 - 1600 etc. and cant choose inbetween, like 1000.... is there a setting for this i cant find?

hello, very nice your video, I ask you a question, I have a g80 but unlike yours, the isos are adjustable only by 200 in 200 (200 400 800 1600 3200 6400) there is a way to have a setting like that yours? obviously the room is set entirely in manual like yours. Thank you!

Dramatic change in the audio at 2:40 the camera recording the Lumix G85 was that the source of the noise. After 2:40 the audio is fine. Good ideas to get the Auto focus to get the desired effects.

Hello! I wonder if you still use Panasonic G80. How is it after 9 months? What are problems? Have you managed to find workarounds? How good the automatic white balance is? One more question: I have a Panasonic camcorder and I'm fed up with fixing colors in postprocessing (my Nikon gives much better colors). Is it the same with G80?

Hi Marcin! I bought the new G80 in november and although I love the camera, I'm experimenting some issues filming in 4k. Basically, when shooting video in 4k 25fps 1/50 f3.8 and AFS with face detection, my background vibrates up and down. It only happens in 4k (in 1080p, the camera struggles a bit with the focus, but no background vibration). I have uploaded two example videos to my youtube personal account. Firmware is up to date (v1.1) and I restored to factory defaults just in case. Changing to 49 points autofocus and +2 AF sensitivity, the effect is reduced a bit, but it is still there.
