Det bästa med Lund var att man kunde ta en gratisbuss till Malmö och tura på gratisfärjan till Köpenhamn. På färjan njöt man av en sill- och räkmacka, en grön Tuborg och en snaps. I Köpenhamn handlades ost och körsbärsvin m.m. och man hyggede sig.

"Lund" means "grove", "cluster of trees". My grandma got locked up in the cathedral, but fortunately there was a young man, also locked up, who managed to climb up to an open window and scream for help! - so people outside got hold of the verger who set them free...

Ellie Drabik Hi Ellie, from Copenhagen it takes around 35 minutes, when you pass the bridge between Denmark and Sweden the first city is Malmö and the second city is Lund. Welcome

Hi Ellie, thanks for the comment, it takes around 47 minutes from Copenhagen Central Station to Malmö and then around 15 minutes from there to Lund. I wouldn’t do both Lund and Malmö in one day though. Remember to take your passports with you. Hope you have a great trip

Actully as a Brit or a Dane you should have your passport with you. It is required to carry ID in Sweden (Germany also). As a Dane the only real valid ID we have is the passport, I guess the same goes for the UK. Drivers license won't be a valid ID. In Germany and Sweden all people has an ID card. My source: Danish Embassy in Stockholm. They also told it's no big deal for a Dane if you forget it. At the time, they said they never had any case with lack of ID in Sweden. I vote for an ID card, to have in the wallet. Then I will never have to remind myself of the passport when traveling in the Schengen area.
