A thorough expert-guided tour of the Bristol Channel's famous island of Lundy, with particular emphasis on the birds, animals, wildlife, and scenery of the island, showing why it is worth visiting and what to look out for. From the viewpoint of a traveller on MS Oldenburg, Lundy's supply ship, starting from Bideford and returning to Ilfracombe. Includes rock-pooling, visit to the village and farm, interesting features of the South end, a walk to the North Light, exploration of the contrasting East and West coasts, including the free-running herd of Lundy ponies, Highland cattle, Atlantic Grey Seals and pups, breeding seabirds, including Puffins, Manx Shearwater, Kittiwakes (all at risk species), Fulmars, Guillemots, Razorbills, and feral Sika deer, goats, and Soay sheep, seasonal changes, including Spring flowers and Autumn storms and the Autumn bird migration. Created from extensive filming over a five year period.

Congratulations on a fabulous piece of videography. A professional and highly enjoyable piece. Keep doing what you are doing. You have taken me to a place that I would never in reality be able to visit as I am a wheelchair user. I had no idea there was so much animal and bird life on the island. A joy to watch. Thank you.

What a wonderful video! The island of Lundy popped up on my RU-vid yesterday. I'd never heard of it before. Sometimes I have trouble understanding Brit speak but this narrator did a great job! The variety of wildlife is amazing on such a small piece of land. Thank you!

I really enjoyed this film… I’m heading to Lundy in the morning and this was the perfect preparation. Really focused on what an ordinary visitor might see and experience on the island, and allows the landscape and wildlife to take centre stage whilst providing helpful commentary. Could also be good for remembering and reflecting on Lundy after a trip, or just dipping into the world of it even with no plan to go there. Clearly a labour of love for this place. Thank you!

Excellent video bro. I have been to Lundy, but only for one afternoon. So I didn't get to soak in this beautiful place. I recommend that people go there just to escape the rat race for a while. It's just got the right mix of everything, without feeling too isolated.

Excellent video , Lundy has been on my list for ages but would only be interested in going for at least 3 days , I've looked in to the day trip before but I seem to recall it only gives you about 5 hours to explore and will make you keep checking the time in my opinion , I'd rather be there at a more leisurely pace

Thank you! Yes, if you travel to and from Ilfracombe, you only get 3 1/2 hours on the island; but from Bideford around double that. So you can see a fair bit on a Bideford sailing; but staying over is far better. Unfortunately, apart from camping, which is usually available, most accommodation is so popular that you need to book many months ahead!

I follow the Landmark Trust on Facebook and they seem to regularly advertise cancellations for their properties for some reason , I'm not sure my kids are old enough to appreciate Lundy at the mo but I will get there. I've subscribed too and will watch the other couple of videos soon and look forward to more, I forwarded the video to my Mum and Dad too who also said how good it was . All the best
