The best ever! Saw him for the first time at the Baton Rouge Blues Festival in 94 or 95. He was playing to about 30 people and totally blew us away. He was almost from another planet. Thought I had a Blues Hero to follow around but so so sadly he passed not long after. Please send all the videos you have. Really really appreciated

Back in the late 70's early to mid eighties, until Luther had to flee to Europe due to tax troubles he was a regular part of the Blues scene here in Omaha, Nebraska. We spent many hours with Luther at the Howard Street Tavern. Luther and I exchanged t shirts on stage one night. I have a rare, vintage Luther Allison t shirt. Never did see them for sale anywhere. Gone before your time, brother. I'll see you on the other side.

the first time I went to a Bluesconcert was in Groningen, The Netherlands, Luther Allison in the early 90's!!!! since then I have seen a lot of Blues.. but I have to say that he is still The Best Bluesperformer I've ever witnessed!!!!!

Saw this guy at the 100 club in London - musta been mid 1970's. Up there with a Freddy King gig at the Roundhouse same city same sort of time. Why did these guys have to day good-bye to us so early ?

I met Alison in an elevator at a hotel we were both staying at. When I told him I played guitar he asked to see my hand and felt the callouses on my fingertips and said "you have a good start". Super good guy and super talented.

puedes tener razon en los 90 quiza hubo mas gente que apreciaba esta musica..pero yo soy de esta generacion solo tengo 21 años siempre me ah gustado el blues..y desde que tengo razon aca en colombia no hubo mucho esa revolucion uno en que otro blusero..en Argentina esta un poco mas avanzado el blues...pero en fin en sur america no ah podido evolucionar por otro tipo de musicas comerciales que nos imprimen cada dia..aun asi hay gente que aun tiene alma para esto....

The timing when Luther was coming onto the scene was bad & signing with Motown didn't help, depriving us for many years & then .......he left too soon...NOW that's the blues.
