This Chase ACT 1.2 Pro XXL+ is the dream race bike for one lucky bloke who these days has the means to build himself the type of bike that he always wanted as a kid. Back then as a young tacker he couldn't quite afford all the top shelf stuff, but that didn't stop him and his family travelling around Queensland throughout the 90s shredding up local and national level races. Those fond memories led him back to our store all these years later seeking advice from LUX's race guru on how to build the most bas ass race bike, and one look at the Chase Team's teal colourway sealed the deal! We're going racing on one of LUX's most expensive builds to date.
Along with the Chase ACT 1.2 carbon fibre frame, we've brought in IKON carbon forks and carbon rims to take care the steering and wheel duties. Hubs are of course Onyx Racing, the only choice for race hubs for a build at this level, with Spectre Titanium spokes holding them all together.
The bars, stem, seat post and clamp are all Elevn Technologies (in matching black and teal), while the world's best BMX race cranks, Beringer E2s, were our only choice for the drivetrain. As was the big dawg Rennen Threaded chainring. HT Component X3 pedals will keep this racer clipped in until emergency services are called. There isn't a pedal out there that keeps you clipped in like HTs!
Stopping this rig is a SRAM G2 Ultimate disc brake set up, with Tioga FASTR BLK LBL tyres handling the tarmac and dirt duties. A Tioga D-Spider Evo Pivotal Seat and ODI Ruffians finish off the part's list.
