Kudos Michele. As a retired librarian and an in-process minimalist I have been lusting for an opportunity to help you organize your collection. In my fantasy, we find an easy system to indicate when a product was bought to make clear outs easier.. Yes, it’s geeky stuff but I’d love it. Perhaps I’ve missed it but I would love to see you show us some painfully natural, on the go looks that don’t use foundations and powders. Something that would be right when I go to see dog shows.

Michele - to help you stay organized, consider a smallish tray for carrying makeup back and forth to the drawers and your filming desk. A tray would be pretty on top of the shelves, help you carry larger amounts of product, and give you a visual cue for keeping tidy. Your space looks so elegant and easy to work in. 💛💛💛

Wow! The entire room looks so 'calm' now. It certainly looks very pleasing. On a quick note, I noticed twice now that you have a couple of Lune+Aster products in your drawers. Their products are vegan and paraben-free not to mention a fraction of the price of other products. I wonder why no one mentions them. Would you do a review on them please? You should donate to actual working makeup artists in the area. Most working special occasion makeup artists pay for every product in their kit. These past few years have been hard. I’m sure they would love donated products.

The Melt cream blushes were a great find for me this year... they actually last all day! Not sure if you tried them... especially of set with the Sisely orchid blushes. And also a great find was the KGD blushes. Beautiful finish. 😍

That was so much work, but now everything is beautifully organized. I remember seeing in a video that Hindash has this small grocery-like basket that he puts everything he is using on the model when filming. I'm wondering if that would make it easier putting everything back ?? Also, maybe some fancy dish or tray on top of one of the drawers JUST for stuff you need to try and they keep getting lost in the shuffle??

I have A LOT of brushes. I use the Lurella 5 divider brush organizer. I like to separated; flat shape from round, & natural vs synthetic bristles. I still have an extra space for highlight or liner type brushes. Each container has a hinged lid, to keep the dust off my bristles.

We seem to be shade twins - the Future Skin foundation in Alabaster works well for me (even though it looks a bit pink and I’m more light neutral with yellow undertone), so it might work better for you than Vanilla!

They have an app where you pick the brand and enter the code on the bottle and they will tell you when it was made. That's for those products without expiration dates... but ultimately the way they look and smell is a give away. Shadows seem to last forever... keep them clean (eyeliners that are not dry) and definitely don't use mascara that's been open for a long time. Other than that.. if stored well your collection should be fine. 🙂

I have asked the company for the expiration dates with the batch numbers before but it took forever to get a reply. But if I had as much products as Michelle does I figured that it would be overwhelming to keep track (unless you write everything down) I recently bought something and found out it was already expired ( I gave them the batch number) .

Do you think putting the brushes in an acrylic organizer with a lid would be better to keep them debris/dust free? Or unnecessary? My building is super old and the dust is incessant!
