Ryan: I've been watching your podcasts for over a year now. I so enjoy your videos. You are not a drama king but rather a very calming presence. The quality of your output is excellent--so entertaining and informative. I consider your videos to be world class not due to any technical do-dads but because you bring a human element to the fore. Bravo. And that you appreciate your audience whose attention is being sought after by any number of other tantalizing opportunities. I would never do the amount of traveling you do but I feel fortunate to be able to tag along and see how you figure out how to resolve problems, explore new places, meet new folks, and make us all feel so very much included and welcome to come along. I also like your use of old-timey phrases such as hit the hay and such. Thank you for all you do and continue your very fine work for as long as you enjoy it. All the best!
Glow plugs for those Chinese diesel heaters are readily available on Amazon. I recently ordered one for my diesel heater and it shipped the same day. It also came complete with the required extraction tool. It's a lot easier to just change a glow plug than tear apart your van to remove and replace the whole assembly.
The minerals in water do not evaporate and can short out your key fob. Grab some q-tips and use isopropyl alcohol and don't be shy to give everything a good rub that is electrical. Also make sure water is not sitting under the button shorting it out if possible. The alcohol will evaporate and you might get lucky the key fob would work. I've done this two times with one of my key fobs and it still works years after. As I type this the key fob is working LoL. Still prudent to give it a cleaning.
Hey Ryan, keep a bottle of diesel 911 anti gel in your van to use if your diesel fuel gels up and your heater shuts down. Your reservoir is small and will gel faster in the cold. Trucker recommended😊. Thanks for the journey!
I'VE BEEN THERE WITH THE KEY FOB GOING INTO THE WATER, SEVERAL TIMES. TWICE IN POOLS WHILE IN MY POCKET, ONCE FELL OUT OF MY POCKET INTO THE DOGS WATER BOWL.
Hey, Ryan, your vlogs are always over in what feels like, five seconds. I would love to see some longer-form content from you if that's something you're into. Thanks and safe travels.
Hey Ryan. I just wanted to say thank you for your content. I was recently in a motorcycle accident and your videos during my recovery have been very relaxing. Your content has taught me to slow down and enjoy the things around me. Also, I may have borrowed some of your recipes, which have been very delicious. Keep the content coming brother, you’re awesome 🤙
Love watching you cook. You are the best traveler cook I have seen in the van life posters. How sweet of them to send you those photos to share. They were amazing.
If the diesel heaters are that unreliable, and you accept that, perhaps you should buy a backup when you order the replacement and keep a spare. I have a spare water pump in my RV because you just never know.
Ryan, I beg you man, never stop making this type of content, you are fantastic at. Myself and many others on this platform look forward to whenever a new video of yours comes out. Top work my man 😎✊ Karl from Bradford in England
pro tip if your key or mostly any electronic gets wet internally do not do anything other than immediately take it a part and let it dry. Most of the time they will work. Using them when wet is hat mostly shorts them out.
He made a poll asking the crowd if he would want content on it. Most of us said we would not fuck with it especially with just being a smaller version of the car we have
Ahhh….gotta cook the carrots and celery with the onions to bring out their sweetness! Rookie mistake hahahaha, sorry to be a narcissist on that Ryan. Love ya brother 🇦🇺
Tip for knife care: when you're scraping ingredients off the board, use the back of the knife, not the blade edge. If you keep scraping with the blade edge, you'll end up rolling the edge much faster than normal and your knife will get dull way faster than it should. Also, a simple steel honing rod is a great way to keep your edge aligned and cutting smoothly so you won't need to sharpen your knife too often either.
Just remove the glow plug and take it to an auto parts store, oreillys, autozone, etc. They will be able to cross reference any part numbers on it to get you a new one.
Longtime fan brother, was curious: any thoughts of getting a small dog of some kind to travel with you? Might be good to have a companion. Anyways love the videos man, one of my favorite channels on RU-vid
Another great video man! So glad I'm subscribed to watch your journey. Makes me rather envious because I'm over here in the UK and it's such a tiny little country.
6 of crows duology or maybe Project hail Mary brother. Some of the best audio books Ive listened to multiple times. If your in need of some distraction from driving try these.

Have you ever thought about insulating your waterlines?. And insulating around your water tanks and around your pump. You can even put a vent to have heat circulate into there to keep it warmer.
Welcome to Utah! Meadows hot spring is a really cool spot. If you find yourself more north there is a hot spring in a cave in park city. Love your videos!
I used a fine tip white nail polish pen on mine and my markings have lasted for over 3 years, now. Had to use an oven thermometer to get the markings right, because I didn't want to eyeball it. End result was better (and a lot more accurate) than what the manufacturer supplied when the stove was new.
I know all about truck stops on the West coast my husband is a big rig driver. Loves are some of the better truck stops. There are some really good truck stops in Arizona called Dave's i think there really nice as well. Love to see where you go. Some of those places look really cool. Hope you get your heater fixed so. Stay safe and have fun.
I am making red linguine tonight with clams but I’m being cheap and using canned clams no shell 🐚 still always delicious cheap white wine in it butter olive oil garlic onion parsley and I add a jar drained of marinated artichoke hearts because I luv them in anything I can throw them in it’s delicious
I found the hot springs unappealing due to the mud and the evidence of garbage at the bottom. However, the pie looked absolutely delicious and I think I might have a go at it. All the best big guy.
