Its part of patch 4.1.0, the developers did it to celebrate Halloween and from what I've heard it will not be around past November the first.

I usually don't cure myself. The only time that the hunger is ever really a problem is when most of the enemies are skeletons, but shortly after that every single enemy in the game becomes food. So you never need to worry about "finding" food. Additionally the added stats helps, curing would only remove those stats and thus weaken yourself. The only real reason I can imagine to use the "cure" is if you want to use the vampiric aura spell which is decent, but just uses a ton of mana. I prefer having the mana for other spells. Its ultimately a subjective decision, but I for one believe that curing is a mistake.

@@LyciantYT I only recently got to we’re I cured myself on one run, it was definitely a mistake the vampiric aura spell is awful I never find a time to use it. I want to try insectoid accursed but still need to beat the game, any tips to unlock accursed for all races?

You only need to beat the game as a vampire. So my suggestion would be to play the class you are most confident in as a vampire. Healer could be a idea, ninja is always a great choice, cleric isn't bad either. But you'll get there :) I should mention that a insectoid isn't the greatest spellcaster and as an accursed sure you'll get to eat anything and sure you'll get to see your "hunger" meter but ultimately you won't be able to freely cast healing, won't be able to make use of the high inteligence you have to cast spells in general and will be stuck in melee for the majority of your interactions. I don't think insectoids make good spellcasters at all, but if you don't plan on playing as one and giving up on your high inteligence and knowingly play melee with the low constitution. Then insectoid will work out alright. Its just not ideal.

Its probably because I'm not carrying around as many items as you might. Speed is determined by dexterity and carrying too many items (weight) will slow you down. Its a simple explanation. But covers the djist of it.

Are you playing the same class? There is no run button, only a sneak button (which slows you down). Speed Is just a STR, DEX and weight thing. So chances are you are playing a different class with less of those stats and more weight. If you are doing the exact same as me, then maybe your whole game is running much slower. There should be no reason why level 1 characters of the same class (race does not matter) should have different speeds. My game is completely vanilla and unmodded. Running version 4.1.2 in this vod. (I think)

@@LyciantYT i watch you play and its like a whole differnt experience. I am new to the game and struggling a bit. I use cleric because i find the summons are a life saver - i lure in enemies and let them tank and then help. But i find movement in this game quite clunk even from the beginning. never successfully able to back away from an enemy like you do
