Master Lying Cable Skull Crushers to maximize your triceps development! This exercise is highly effective for isolating the triceps muscles, particularly the long head, which contributes to overall arm strength and definition. Perfect for those looking to sculpt and tone their arms with precision.
Instructions:
Set Up: Attach a straight bar to the low pulley of a cable machine. Lie down on a flat bench positioned perpendicular to the machine, feet flat on the floor.
Grip: Grasp the bar with both hands using an overhand grip, hands shoulder-width apart.
Position: Extend your arms straight above your chest, keeping a slight bend in your elbows. Your upper arms should remain perpendicular to the floor throughout the exercise.
Lowering Phase: Slowly bend your elbows and lower the bar towards your forehead, allowing your forearms to move while keeping your upper arms stationary.
Stretch: Lower the bar until your elbows are bent at approximately 90 degrees, feeling a stretch in your triceps.
Extension: Contract your triceps and extend your arms back to the starting position, focusing on squeezing your triceps at the top of the movement.
Repeat: Perform the desired number of repetitions, maintaining control and a steady pace.
