Zee, you should really consider an overview video that talks about all 7 games in the Gipf series. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to see that.
Zee, this was probably my favorite review I've seen from you, and I don't know if I ever intend on playing this line of games! Well spoken, thoughtful points, great formatting. I felt engaged the entire time. Great job, man!
this one seems to have the most depth and cleanest design after looking at the gipf games. Yinsh to me just looks like reversi and adding a little bit on top
Well, Yinsh is similar to Reversi, but that "little bit" added on top makes a huge difference. The clever and subtle design of that game gives it a huge amount of strategic depth that makes it far more interesting and engaging than Reversi.
In your video review about Dvonn you reviewed it having in mind a "setup", instead of a placement phase which is part of the game. How about making an updated video about Dvonn at some point???
Zee, will you do a review of Zertz aswell at some? So far I liked your reviews of the GIPF project games and I even bought 3 of them thanks to your reviews :)
you mentioned you cannot move a smaller stack to a higher stack, but you're putting the white on top of the 4 stacks? is it because unclaimed ones are those you cant move to a higher stack? but claimed chips can be moved?
shame that this game uses the same shape pieces as GIPF, when all the other games in the series has had unique ones. Even DVONN and ZERTZ, which both have rings have different looking rings
Red and Green pieces.......colorblind gamer says UGH. Yellow-Clear-Striped-Spotted-Silver-Gold There are many other color combos to choose from besides green and red. Why eliminate roughly 10% of your audience right off the bat?
