Hard to imagine going down the highway and one of the greatest rock and roll band is sitting on the side of the road with a broken down bus. If only I had driven by with the Vista cruiser with the AC blowing cold. What story to tell the grandkids that’s for sure.
With all of the success the "tribute" Lynyrd Skynyrd band always had through the years, could you imagine the great height of success the original "Ronnie" Lynyrd Skynyrd band would have had? !
@@johngullo9420 It's so sad we will never know. The band members of the Rolling Stones just keep kicking.......haven't keeled over........yet. The problem with comparing LS with TRS after the plane crash is, too many LS band members have died after the plane crash to have made a good long lasting original band. Members that have pasted after the plane crash : Allen, Billy, Ed, Leon, Bob. That is all the "Pronounced" and "Second Helping" band member except Gary and Ronnie. But I get your point, if no plane crash.....what could have been? The Stones rivals?
Hey that dude on 3:13 he always blow my mind out ... awesome mullet hair man , he’s so passionate about Lynyrd Skynyrd and I miss those days and era ... of you ever see or read this Roy McCommin I hope you’re well man , I hope you’re still rocking ! Bless you Australia 🇦🇺
'I Know a Little' with Ronnie's li'l Bro, Ed King, Gary Rossington, Leon, Billy P. and Artie-mess on Drums was an acceptable version of Lynyrd Skynrd. Today's version of the band, in 2018...with only Gary Rossington & Ronnie's Li'l Bro.....IDK, you can't really call it Skynryd.
Willbill To me, Gary’s the only part of skynyrd on the tribute.....Plus GR is an Ass hole these days.. If Artimus Pyle isn’t in the band, it isn’t a tribute a tribute
@@thespiritof76.. I do not know Gary Rossington personally.....so the disparaging remark gets no comment from me.I always thought he was a pretty good guitar player.......him and Allen Collins.....To this day, I play a GIBSON FIREBIRD Standard T and an EXPLORER ELITE because of Allen Collins .......
Jesus Christ do I ever miss these guys. Johnny V, Ed, Artimus and Gary did a fantastic job with this reconfiguration of add on's but it just wasn't the same. Nevertheless I still love the current lineup and admire their dedication for keeping the name alive.
I swear Johnny looks and sounds just like Ronnie when he sings instead of screaming~ Miss Mr. Lacy for sure~ he sure was a fun/ great man. Loved his boys~! That haircut though~ lol~ I ain't hatin, I had one too~!
Havent seen a wwct 106 t shirt like Randall had on since the 80s. Wow, its a Peoria IL rock radio station.....atleast it was, dont know if its even still around.
The title needs to be changed by now. This was from the '87 tribute tour. I bought it on VHS tape in '91 or 92. I smoked many a joints watching this over and over back then.
I see this very different...they r keeping Ronnie & his music alive, also taking care of the estates...Ronnie, Steve, Cassie & Dean r in Heaven, prouder than “Hell” of their brothers!!!!
The problem is they actually aren't... Contrary to mainstream belief they may be keeping the music alive however in no way are they taking care of anyone but Judy Van Zant(widow of Ronnie) and Gary Rossington. They don't pay any estates and it makes me sick and shows how selfish and money/power driven Judy & Gary are.@@teriyjim1randa663
Actually Ricky was with them in the 70's and sang on some stuff. However, I know what you mean. However, would anyone go see them if they went by any other name?
Hate on Dumbass ...I appreciate them keeping the music alive ...and it is their right ....wht claim do you have ...if you dont like it dont listen or go see them .....Like the rest of us millions that do.
Rickey was only with them for a couple of months as a fill in drummer when they would save enough money to get demos done in M.S. Rickey even told Ronnie "This band isn't big enough for two of us" and it got him kicked out. Ronnie never let him sing on anything especially in the studio or gigs Rickey just runs his mouth nowadays to make it seem like he played a bigger role with them in the 70's than he actually did, he is a fraud. Listen to Highway Song Vs. Free Bird which Allen Collins sued Rickey over because of how much of a rip off it was. Anyways, Rickey just runs his mouth about how much he contributed when in reality he was there fora handful of gigs as a fill in drummer and got himself kicked out of the band BEFORE they were even called Lynyrd Skynyrd they were going by either the Noble Five or One Percent or My Backyard one of those three. Just thought you'd appreciate the info unless you already knew this and I wasted my time.@@dannyd1572
