Trina can we talk?? You look stunning in the green dress!! You used the word frumpy. Actually looked so thin and fabulous!!! Also, you were so excited, for the boyfriend shorts They were perfect except for the waist so have your tailor do the adjustment. You are amazing! Love your vids!!!

I have had weight loss surgery with the extra belly in front. I switched to bathing suits with skirts. It helped greatly. I make me much more comfortable.

The shorts look great! Definitely would go for a darker denim so it doesn't emphasise your tummy, the second shorts colour was flattering I think! A lovely outfit with the peach t shirt!

I loved that green dress on you, beautiful colour. I also thought it gave great shape and looked nice and light for the hot weather. The smocking gives you the option of not wearing a bra if you get sunburnt or it's too hot to fight to put a bra on....LOL!!!

a belt can fix gaping in the shorts. They have even come out with partial belts that you could just hook in the side belt loops and across the back.

I have the same issue with swimming cossies and would recommend looking at Next Tall and Long Tall Sally for longer in the torso suits.

I have the same waist issues you have, I always just sew 2 tucks in the waistband at the back. Like you I'd never worn shorts but I live in Portugal now so live in shorts all summer. I love Seasalt shorts they're a good length and have elastic at the back perfect fit also fatface is worth a look their soft shorts are great and such great fabrics. Agreeing with others the shorts looked so cute and loved the first dress and the green dress. I think monsoon would be good to look at and maybe a two piece for the swimsuit they are never long enough and it’s so annoying!!! Xx

I tried that first swimsuit too and didn’t love it but I bought it online and noticed they did do a longer length/tall option so it might be worth having a look

Try denim shorts with elastic at the back it might help the gapping. Defo get high waisted that’s all I get much more comfy. White trousers are very see through. I bought them and returned them.

You could try Never Fully Dressed, Monsoon, I’m a size 22 and can fit into some Free People, it’s quite pricy but will definitely be able to find beautiful lightweight dresses. M&S might have more options online as well. X

I have the same issue as you with swimsuits because my belly has dropped low since losing weight - I’ve had to give up on them and now by the big high waisted bikini bottoms and then a nice bikini top - it’s scary but it ends up fitting so much better!!

I suggest Levi’s denim shorts. They have plenty of room for my belly and run slimmer in the hips (I’m shaped weird).

Try monsoon for dresses. Bravissimo for swimsuits they do cup size and will give you more shape.

Have you tried a tankini or 2 piece swimsuit? They come with all different bottoms (standard swim bottom, and many different styles of skirts). This may really help. Swimwear is SO hard!!

Girrrrlllll! Those shorts were SO GOOD. I agree that if you weren't FULLY comfortable in them and the high waist would be better? Go for it! But you looked great in them so I do hope you find some! I don't have much internet/youtube time these days, so I haven't been keeping up that well.. but upcoming trip is awesome! Do you plan to record anything?? Or just live in the moment. Hope to see some if so!

Look at Long Tall Sally for swimsuits. They are much longer in the body. I'd also try styles with proper cups (underwired maybe) which will support your bust and give a more flattering effect. Also you have fab pins so you just need to find the right shorts as there will be some out there that look amazing on you. Maybe if you looked at the kind of trousers that suit you and imagine them cut down? Xx

A tankini would probably help with your long torso...definately try long tall sally or any clothes shop with a tall section. I'm 5'10" so I feel your struggle 😉xxx

Aren't boyfriend fit supposed to be low rise? Maybe that's why you had the gaping at the back? I think you could get white beach trousers cheaper than that for similar quality.

Don't go for short Shorts... With kissing thights, They will ride up while wearing and Walking... With thinner fabric than denim, it's worse.... Get some that end abve the knee end fold/ roll them up end experiment with the length

Trina… avoid shorts that have stripping along the belly. I think that’s what you are not liking. It draws the eyes there. . The length isn’t great either. The light blue ones will stretch. A little tighter is not bad. Can you go to an actual swim suit store for a suit? Also… maybe look a 2 pieces. You will be able to pull them off. Longer tanks for the tops. May I suggest suits that have a 50’s feel to them. Longer tops with roushed bottom that are more of a shorts style. Btw… you have beautiful legs!! Show them off every chance you can! One more thought…. Book a few tanning sessions. Your skin will thank you in those sunny places. Sunscreen only does so much with that intense sun. Even if you only get a bit of colour it’s better than cold turkey on the skin.
