A look at what’s left of a lovely Russian built MP 14P radial engine… So many thanks to Dave for letting me look after it 👍

The reason it's so "small" and "compact" is because most of it is missing. You are missing 8 more cylinders from the power section, the entire blower section, the entire accessory case, and all the accessories (carb, magnetos, compressor, generator, fuel pump, oil pump, air distributor, tach drive, ignition harness, inlet plenums, exhaust, and other smaller bits). The port that you pointed to on the planetary gear case, that you thought was for the supercharger, is actually for the prop governor. Support equipment includes a fuel tank (12 to 15 gallons/hour at cruise speed), a 6 gallon oil tank, an oil cooler, either an air start or electric starter, etc. I can't imagine how this could be used on a motorcycle, but there are a lot of creative people out there. All that said, it is still quite a bit of engine for the size. I run one on my Nanchang CJ-6.

You're not interested in selling the gearbox are you? I fly behind one of these in a Yak52 and I need a transmission case/gearbox for my R&D engine
