He's actually the reason that I change to the penhold grip. Moreover he's the reason why I love table tennis!

Great video! Also liked that you put the points in where he lost, it still shows how difficult the drop shots actually were and the opponent had to go with an all in risk.

The most important aspect of using the 'drop shot' is strictly position and set-up play. You only use it when your opponent is nowhere close to the table. Plus the 'deception' aspect is also a significant portion to pull this off. It is not easy at all, you really need to focus on the 'touch' and the angle of the paddle according to the lob returns of your opponent. Only the poor high lobs which lands in the near-half of the table should be attempted. Another important component of the 'drop shot' is extremely mental: Being patient. What you want is for your opponent to sprint back to the table before the second bounce, or way too low below the table and almost dropping to the floor. Either way, your opponent would either not made it, or fully commit to a shot that they are already on your own side with the most extreme momentum forward. The quality of your opponent's returns, if at all, would be extremely poor so you can half all the time to put it away for a clear winner. Drop shot is not used enough, but it takes a fair amount of skills, touch, intelligence and guts to get it right. It is an extremely effective shot to kill the rally or the ultimate set-up shot to put away the final rally for your absolute advantage.
