People say this is a song that you think of when you’re in love. For me it’s a song reflecting on love lost. He’s reminiscing on a past relationship. Anyone who has fallen in love and moved in, then unfortunately lost the spark can resonate with these lyrics. “Puppy love ain't what it was, darlin'” You think back on how it was real, grown love. Then you start to take it for granted. “She said all you ever think of sex”. It stops being fun and exciting. “You get closer with, run away. All I ever known is the color gray”. He’s blaming himself for it not working out, but she had that lasting impact a special person has on you “but now you’re in my world, in my world.” That’s why people relate to him so much he was a regular dude who faced the same bs everyone in our generation faces. He writes the soundtrack to our lives so we don’t have to. Plus he’s a fucking amazing lyricist. RIP to a genuine dude

Im listening to this as i read the news about angus, he was always oddly comforting to me whenever i see any videos of him, he reminded me so much of mac that it almost felt like mac was still here. i pray angus rests peacefully now and is with his dad again.

It's one of the few albums where I LOVE every damn song on it.
