I can't really think of any other commercials from 1986 that I remember I was a little girl. I do remember that my first crush was Marc Singer when he starred in The Beast Master, I was only 4 years old. I'm sure that at that age I had no idea what was happening to me, probably didn't even know the word crush yet. My Mom & late Grandmom knew though, because I wanted to watch him all the time. Well he was handsome and kind to animals so could you blame me? I wonder what exactly attracted me to Mac? Well he's cool & sexy....Course back when I had a crush on him I didn't know what sexy was nor cool either yet. Ah the innocence & magic of being a child.

Me too I had a crush on Mac when I was a little girl. I was about 7 years old when these commercials were out. I still have a Mac Tonight plastic McDonald's cup, and a little plastic figurine of Mac that my Grandmother bought me at East Point Mall.

Neither did I! This just came to mind based on a text I received in the wee hours of this morning. The original ad still comes to mind on occasion, nearly 35 years after it appeared. I think of the friend I worked with who was equally taken by the ad. We'd sing "It's Mac to-niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite!" and laugh like the idiots we were. Fun memories. What a testament to the power and longevity of a memorable ad, in spite all of the crass realities of our hyper-commercialized world. ; ]

See, this was the 80s, so that script was written long before M.Tonight was meme'd as a racist in mid-2010s. So you can call it a coincidence, really.

I bought a pair on Ebay for 15 or 16 dollars. They are pretty nice and arent cheaply made. Goes great with a leather jacket and slicked back hair!

I had a pair when I was a little kid, had them until I was a teen they were nice. The only issue was the little Mac Tonight decal on the bottom of the right lens came off "VERY" easily. If I ever get another pair I'll by them new in package and never take them out.
