Hmmm. Batman started as a comic book, then a TV show, then a movie. Same with Superman. Tom Cruise made the tv show Mission Impossible into a franchise. So yes, Hollywood is still up to remake anything. Back to The Fall Guy. I hope it does well enough. It needs a better script, even a better director. The concept of an action hero stuntman involved in mystery/ crime solving is a fresh concept. That is a deep well to draw inspiration from for future plots. The movie was flawed, but the actors will survive. The cast was great. Ryan Gosling is outstanding. He can never be bad. His acting was better than this movie deserved. Still despite the flaws, I was entertained. I never found the movie too long or over complicated. It was a simple plot that could have been improved. I hope it limps along for a shot at a second chance to be a better movie. New script writer, new director and all is well. It wasn't great, but it was entertaining. I laughed and was thrilled to see Gosling climb out of the harbor in a wet tee. Wowza! This movie was not over violent or over sexulized. It was refreshing, good family fun. I'd watch it again.
