That is a good question. The most adverse questions I've played in with this was just yesterday. I played with this gun all day, apart from a few points with an AMP Shocker (video review coming). At first it was misting and about 55f, and it progressed to low 60's and rain. Of course this isn't super cold, but it was raining, and not hot, and not one issue all day. I can't speak to how it works in, say, the 40's, but if I ever get that info I'll come back and post for sure.

100 psi is your internal operating pressure. Has nothing to do with the tank.

When you're old and fat you better be able to roll that thing! :)

@@bootzcletus87 Haha I was just yankin yer chain. I didn't actually do an efficiency test, but it is good for a spool. I have shot 7 pods and a 280 hopper and still had over 1500psi left on an 80.

Oh that ain’t bad. I seen multiple reviews now regarding the new shocker amp getting 15 pods off a 68 cubic inch. Off the 7 pods and hopper and the 80 you had, could you have gotten more if you removed shims? Changing other settings? I remember you saying at the beginning that you wish you seen more information on the manual for the XTS. Just curious if you could get that close or more off the 80 using the xts

@@bootzcletus87 note that the 7 pods and a 280 hopper left me with over 1500psi...I'm probably in the 9-10 pod area with this, and when you add the hopper it's 12+. I may do a follow up on the efficiency aspect, as a very knowledgeable person is working on some simple mods that may well increase efficiency with this bolt system. I'll update as I get info on that. Also, it's important to note that changing the output pressure of your tank has nothing in any way to do with shot efficiency, regardless of what people like to say.

If only their reputation matched the actual reality of ownership. I've owned several now, and have over 100,000 shots on them and I've yet to have an issue. There were a few recent firmware hiccups with the Prime/XTS, but those are resolved in the latest release. That said, MacDev definitely has room to improve in the service delivery department. If you don't directly engage them via individuals on FB or email, it can be difficult to get a response from them, and that for sure is not good.

I've only owned dye and pe guns (and of course tippmans in the beginning) so my knowledge is based on guys at my home field and things I see, but more often than see, hear. First hand knowledge is always better, so I stand corrected sir. Great videos btw. Love the depth you dive into.

They have come a long way as a company and the XTS is an amazing product. Had almost 40k on mine and no issues, clean and lubed after every weekend and had no problem. I’ve dealt with their employees via Facebook and their all awesome and very knowledgeable
