Mark, is it OK to bend the arms a little when swinging heavy clubs from side-to-side? I have a large club (85cm) , and it would hit the floor or my feet if I kept my arms completely straight during downward swings. I've heard that Indian club swingers bend their arms a bit to activate their biceps. Love your mace series! The warrior stance is a serious leg workout.
Hi Mark. Is there any demerit of increasing the program length for a mace instead of increasing mace weight, when I have an access to heavier maces? I feel like I am just leaving out old moves so I can fit more of the new moves. I feel as though 60 minutes are not enough, and I am planning to add time up to 90 minutes.
That's true, but sometimes (most times) people need to hear the same thing from two different sources for it to click. I was one of those people. Somebody would give me advice and it would make so much sense. Then I'd remember hearing that same exact advice before and basically kick myself for not heeding it then. Sometimes thought and ideas need time to marinate, haha.
I was wondering... Can this exercise be done with a clubbell? Especially with bigger thus longer club. It's night in scandinavia and my friend is over and snoring in my one room apartment so I can't try it now.
What kind of club weight would be appropriate to start? 5 or 10? I only have a 20 now, thinkin that may be too heavy for mace moves even though lever is shorter?
@@andy3410 Mark should answer but I think the stance makes it more difficult...this is basically one arm shield cast with a press up. If you can do one arm shield cast with the 20lb bell you can do this BUT I don't know how much more difficult the movement is in that stance...I'll try tomorrow.
