Macho Man Randy Savage WWE Theme Pomp And Circumstance By Jim Johnston Taken From The Composed Works By Edward Elgar(86-94). All Rights Go To World Wrestling Entertainment No Copyright Intended, Enjoy
congratulations class of 2018, you made it! graduation! now its time to move out your parents house, you've been on this planet since 2000 (most of you) or late-1999
There's just something about hearing Howard Finkel introduce Savage as this song plays: "From Sarasota, Florida, weighing 245 pounds, the World Wrestling Federation Champion, 'Macho Man' Randy Savage!"
keepthebeat929 "Coming down the aisle.. accompanied by Miss Elizabeth... From Sarasota. Florida... Weighing in at 245 pounds... The World Wrestling Federation Champion, Macho Man Randy Savage.
And R.I.P. to the beautiful Elizabeth (much more beautiful than Sherri). Elizabeth died 12 years before Hulk Hogan was known to be so evil and (an *anagram* of 'evil') vile.
i think you need to edit your comment to "THE" most charismatic of all time, of all tiiimmmeee!!!!! ooooooooooo yeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!! We love you Mach, rest in peace brother!
I went to Detroit to see Wrestlemania 3 in 1987. I was 9 years old... Macho wrestled Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and lost the Intercontinental Championship Belt ... When this song came on the place ERUPTED. Just sitting there watching live wresting with my Dad is one of my favorite memories... My Mom told me years later that he pulled money out of his retirement and went to other great lengths to make that dream come true for me... Love ya, Dad. RIP!! YOU ARE MY HERO...
Me and my boyfriend named one of our cats after the Macho man. He was the best kitty ever, but sadly we had to say goodbye a few weeks ago due to heart complications. We love and miss you Macho man Randy Savage the cat. Long live the Macho king. Thank you for the best 4 years of my life.
I really appreciate your comment. Everyone *should* like him more than that racist Hulk Hogan, who's now so disgraced. After graphically saying that 'n' word, that rhymes with 'trigger', the WWE simply doesn't want to *know* Hulk Hogan anymore. I'm aware he didn't commit child molestation, like Fred Talbot, Gary Glitter and (EYUGH! at having to say *this* man's name) Jimmy Savile, but his fans are still treating him *just as bad as* those three men.
shermanvermin76 what the fuck are you smoking? most mature and logical people have moved on, even people within WWE themselves have hinted Hogan will be back sooner than later recently
Howard Finkel: Coming down the aisle, being led towards the ring by the First Lady of Wrestling, Elizabeth, from Sarasota, FL, weighing in at 239 lbs, here is the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion, “Macho Man” Randy Savage!
I may be a dork for saying this but my 8th grade graduation was not long after his death, and when they played this song, I kind of teared up, for Macho Man.
Hell no you're not a dork! I wish I did a Macho Man tribute when I graduated from High School, but I'm on it when I graduate and get my Masters degree, and I'm finna go full Macho Man OOOOOH YEAH
Owen Brown Bear *To be read in macho mans voice* OUHHHHHHHHHH YEAH MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE SAYS, THIS IS THE MOST AMAZNG THING I'VE EVER!!! SEEN IN MY LIFE!!
there are men we look up to and emulate... there are superheroes we dream of... then there are legends whom we absolutely love for being legendary.... thank you Randy Savage for being a legend!!
We all need to take the time to thank Jim Johnston for acquiring this specific version in 1987, the year of its release. Commonly known as "Pomp & Circumstance March No.1 in D Major", this would be edited 4 times in WWE and once in WCW. Very Honorable Mention goes to Sir Edward Elgar for this magnificent and triumphant composition. Composer Sir Edward Elgar Performed by Apollo Symphony Orchestra Used by Jim Johnston (WWF 1987) 1.35 v1 (used during the "1987 Slammy Awards", "The Main Event I" in February 1988, and debuting full time at "WrestleMania IV") 2.55 v2 (released on April 21, 1988) *OFFICIALLY UNRELEASED* 4.21 v3 (released on June 21, 1988) 4.27 v4 (its really "v2", only cleaner and lengthier) 2.47 v5 (1996 - 2000 WCW Japanese version, the theme he should've used during his run in 1995 - 1996 right before the nWo.
Well said. A phenomenal piece by Elgar. So majestic and triumphant. This '87 release increases the epicness and majesty of the piece by focusing on just the climax, slowing the tempo and stretching it to 3 minutes instead of one, and with an inspirational finale. Brilliant. Johnston was a WWF composing legend. So many pieces and decades of service. Mankind's theme, Taker's theme, Kane's theme, Stone-cold's theme, dozens more.
the music was already public domain, unless he purchased the rights to a specific recording of it he arranged the music himself without paying licensing fees
@@horizontoday7874 they even cut the key change bridge part towards the end for his heel run as Macho King. it was just the beginning part repeated over and over.
Randy's first world championship reign at WM4 is still my MOST-watched clip of all time. All those crazy camera flashing when he gives the winning diving elbow to Ted (whom I also truly admire) and the celebration with Liz on his shoulder (and the belt on her shoulder) with this theme in the background are truly epic even after all those decades. Speaking of this theme, after WM4, they kept playing it without the peak/ending (starting at around 2:39), which I think is the most inspirational part... they must have kept this.
Macho died just a week before I graduated high school. When this song started to play I got both chills and emotions running through me. In the old school era, he was my favorite
I graduated college a few days after he died and I thought of him when this song hit in the UB arena. I imagined him coming out on stage in a purple cap and gown with us haha.
My nephew will be a 2020 graduate from High School. Due to COVID19 the actual ceremony is at an unknown future date. I played this epic version of Pomp and Circumstance and told him who it was used for. I'm playing this when he comes up to receive his diploma.
Coming down the aisle. Being accompanied by The Lovely Elizabeth! From Sarasota, Florida. Weighing in at 242lbs. THE WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION CHAMPION. “Macho Man” RANDY SAVAGE!!!!
Whenever I hear this music anywhere, And I mean anywhere, I just feel the urge to spread my arms, turn around 360° Then hold my index high And scream "Oh Yeah"
I was at summer slam 92, I was 7 at the time the atmosphere was electric when he come out and during the match. We all miss him and he should have been brought back to the wwe one last time

1:52 I was 13 when this happened. People younger than me STILL do not believe that Randy and Elizabeth had people in that WM7 crowd in tears with their curtain call. RIP Macho and Elizabeth!!!
Randy “Macho man” Savage and miss Elizabeth were one of the greatest couples in wwe, rest in peace both of you, you 2 will be missed but 100% never forgotten!
Chris Snider worst moment ever. DiBiase was robbed! And what a LEGENDARY heel champion he would’ve been. Imagine him cheating to all those wins and the title really bringing out the best character he could’ve been!
I was one of the joyest kids back then who enjoyed watching Randy Savage and he was the one that I watched back when I was start watching wrestling. He is one of my favorite wrestler in the Golden Age Era and he will always be my wrestling hero. God Bless his Soul. You will always be remembered Macho Man.
As a Brit it's fascinating to learn one of our national anthems is used by both the Macho Man and American high school graduations for some reason "By Freedom gained, by Truth maintained, Thine Empire shall be strong." 🇬🇧
There has been so much talent displayed in sports entertainment. But let's look at macho. Christ guys. This guy was a genius. Such a good wrestler. Such a good performer. Would sell any opponents finisher. Would work with any script. Played it out to a tea. Perfection from the most entertaining charector in all of wrestling history. Mad respect macho.
