Second best black pudding you can buy, I actually prefer Irish Staunton's black pudding but you can't buy it in the UK. A little tip for anyone who wants to buy Stornoway puddings, a Scottish butcher I order from online does it for the same price but his shipping is cheaper and free over £60.
Glad you enjoyed that. I was banging onto you for ages to get that. P&P is crazy but what can you do. Be interested to see what you think of the Marks & Spencer stuff. It’s 4 prepacked slices for about £1.50 and it’s pretty damned close to the Stornoway.
The main difference between Scottish and English black pudding is the jocks (and Irish) use pinhead oats, English pudding has big chunks of fat. That's why the mixture is looser.
hi dave thanks fo the video buddy try berrys black pudding if you aint allready thats nice trouble is with black pudding now days they put too much pearl barley in it and no much pork fat but try berrys mate they do it in tesco cheers dave and family
Do yourself a favour and order some black AND white pudding from gracehill fine foods based in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. Unbelievable award winning stuff 👌
Black Pudding is a superfood remember! Get it in yer salads ;) Stornoway is the best by far but it does cost a fortune, they know their worth I suppose
Porcine haemoglobin. That’ll be pigs blood. Interesting you say it’s smoother than other black puddings. Have to agree it almost has a creamy texture. 👍
That ones lovely get it delivered all the time, my local butchers is ok but this one blows it out the water. Lorne sausage is called square sausage. Its not square tho lol
@@merks5625 those that love it don't care about the name...lol.... My dad used to love the name because he loved it and every one thought it was gross sounding so it was all his to eat.
Firstly: They should call themselves 'MacLeods' - it's shorter and it says it all, the pretentious twits. Secondly: They over-complicate it wth the seasoning. It doesn't need it. The best black pudding is bought fresh in proper butcher shops in Lancashire. Thirdly, it's a sublime food - try it stuffed in chicken breasts (luvleh!), or if you want to be really fanceh, break it into small pieces, mix it with penne pasta and spiceh 'ndjua sauce, put a couple of pieces of mozzerella on top and decorate with a bit of basil and you've got a mind-blowing pasta al forno dish. You're welcome!
