Ironically, Jason Aldean, the country singer who made that "Try that in a Small Town" song, is from Macon. They are definitely trying that in his hometown.
That song is a joke because Macon isn't even a small town. It's like 150k people, that's a small city not a bumblefuck small town of 1,000 people. Macon is bigger than Vallejo and Compton to put things in perspective. Jason Aldean is just a wannabe trying to live up to a country whiteboy stereotype to look cool to his equally identity confused fans just like black kids in some suburbs trying to be hard wearing ski masks and having guns they never bust on anyone trying to be rappers hyping up their safe town as being hood when it's not.
I guess the Crip guy doesn't understand that most major cities that were dangerous during the 1980's and 90's didn't really embrace LA's gang culture. Atlanta was probably way more dangerous, way bigger and had their own identity compared to Macon.
As someone who has lived in Macon and Atlanta you're right. The first public housing unit in the USA was in Atlanta (Techwood Homes) and at one point, Atlanta nhas the most public housing units PER Capita in the USA. Macon gang Bangers Crips and Bloods before Atlanta because Atlanta local clicks and crews didn't allow that in the 80s and 90s

The Westside of Macon started their own Crip Set (912 WSGC) decades ago, the 912 comes from Macon's old area code, but now Middle Georgia has it's own area code, 478. The other day I was riding down Joseph E Boone in Atlanta and on one side of the street was a white family riding their bikes with their young daughter…helmets and all 😩then on the other side of the street was a naked black guy sleeping on the sidewalk with a blanket over his head 😭 and this is all near the Mercedes Benz Stadium and all the new Gentrification 😂

We lived in Macon for about 10 years, and the way these folks are living just mystifies me. I can barely understand him, and I haven't a clue what he's talking about. But it's a free country. You live your life your way, and I'll live my life my way.

Why so many racists watch Charlie's videos? That's not the point of them. I don't see anything wrong with the way these people living. They just tryna have fun but there be drama just like everyone everywhere. I'm from Tucson, AZ and Macon, GA looks great and safe to me. Also if we judging by population and gang activities Tucson got 1Million people (including surrounding areas) and bloods here, crips here, the cartel is and all kinds of hybrid gangs the only difference is that it's not supposed to be celebrated here. But throughout this whole video I didn't see a flock of police cars roll up on em but that's how they be doing it here for small shit while murders and overdoses happen but cops lazy so they go after petty crime often. But nobody was tweaking out in the street in this whole video, any time of day and night you will find a tweaker and/or someone yelling about some random problem in Tucson. So yeah Macon don't seem that bad. Also no homeless through this whole vid
That sniper in blue on the right is a Princeton valedictorian, if I recall. He sure has advanced his studies and become a better person. It's good to see that he's contributed to the American economy.
