The problem is that Georgia only cares about Atlanta. The state government doesn't pay any attention or money to the other cities in Georgia, the ones that really need the help and development.

Never had issues in the Mac. People are nice and real. You come correct and they treat you with respect. You come wrong they right your wrong. Period

East Atl dude here but I've spent a lot of time in Mac town shout out to the southside Houston Ave, Bloomfield, eisenhower, westside Anthony homes Montpellier, east side emery hwy n Jeffersonville met some real ones down there

If you not from Macon, make sure you know "where" you at if you do go there. Macon is a dangerous city. I'm 30 mins away in M' ville. Macon gets bodies, believe me.

I was from south macon...Houston Ave and west Richmond street. In the late 80's and was early 90s. Until my eventual arrest in 1992 where I spent the next 10 years in Alto,Hays,and Reidsville. But back in those days we had fist fights to settle shit, now days it's gun play, I finally made it out, got a construction trade in the electrical field and make good money ( between 30 and 40 an hour on some jobs.) These guys can make it out too, just have to leave the streets, drugs, and gang life alone in order to make that happen, because poverty...death...and prison, is the only destinations you'll find on the streets of macon my friend.

Let me tell You something being born in Macon can and will prepare you to live anywhere.. I grew up here elementary to high school and the lesson I learn here has taken me a long way. I’ve stayed in Florida spend a few yrs in Jamaica and now in Atlanta. When growing Up you had to go hard to achieve and all that did was make it a routine in Lyfe, like making your bed.. I grew up in Macon. I moved away about 10 years ago. Down there you either do drugs, sell drugs or carry a weapon at all times.

From Columbus Ohio originally, but I live in Macon now. That being said, I'm excited to be moving to Colorado at the end of the year. Macon is a segmented and fractured town. A lot of personality, but a divided town hungry for some jobs. Arguably the worst school district in the county. No doubt some real people here though. Good video.

I lived in Macon 15 years after incarceration..its straight though met a lot of people still got fam there. really didn't know how it was down there only heard people talk about it until I end up there. When you meet one person you get introduced to many. You get treated like family..I miss my Macon fam. Its still. Im from and live in Macon. Macon really made me who I am. My neighborhood where I was born in was Penilton Homes. When I was 3, me, my 2 sisters, and father moved to Bloomfield Way (The Projects in the bottom) and my father left me when I was 4 and in 2014, me, my ma, ad 2 sisters moved to Shakespear BLVD where in 2016 my ma had a baby boy (In Dec. 6) I'm a really smart boy and a lot of homeboys out herein Macon. It's really chill in Macon. The crime just horrible. Sometimes, I never wanna leave Macon

I was raised to look out for the children and elders especially the elders who have no one. I did such that for an elder however she had already been taken advantage of which in return created an untrust for everyone. I as well have been shown by society not to trust. I completely understand her mistrust even in me and I only wanted to make sure she was not under duress due to several occurances taken place lately and due to the abuse she suffered based on the things she informed me of so I was punished. Their is such great evil lurking in our society you cannot even feel safe doing Christian or even civil duties to ensure our children and elders safety! I refuse to allow society to stop me from doing as I was raised and if it kills me for doing the right thing then so be it. I would only hope someone would have done the same for my mother, father, brother,sister , friend, neighbor or anyone trying to be a good citizen in this evil world.
