@@doperuns z talking bout how they should get off they ass and clean up the hood right? Gangstas need to clean their area all their iz to it. Struggle I saw scrap in they pile behind u bruh. Want something g to do with them erratic arms turn-around look down reach down pick up that gangsta mess
Do these people ever pick up their trash lol. Even if it wasnt my house and abandoned I wouldn't let it look like that. I swear it's like a contest who can have the most garbage on their lawn. Lmao smh
I’ve got family in Macon and middle Georgia period, I used to live there myself, nothing ever changes down there it’s weird. I’ve been gone from there for a few years but still know people there doing the same thing they were doing 7 years ago.
If i had the money, i would love to find one guy in a ghetto like this, take him to get a passport and buy him a return plane ticket to Costa Rica or something like that and see him off. Let him experience a bit of the world and hope it sparks something in him.
Because they don't own anything. And when you don't own stuff, you don't care. It's called pride of ownership. Take his outfit as an example. He obviously put a lot of thought and care into how he dresses himself. But the house that he either rents, or is living on section 8 in, why would he care? It ain't his after all.
This was one of the best interviews. The way you walked through the neighborhood with him gave it a whole different perspective. I didn't know Macon was this bad and your videos give the perfect insight on what it's really like in the forgotten parts of Macon. Good shit, Charlie.
They had to get right.. they clothes shoes and ride going to be fresh even if they house not.. the interview would have been more interesting if you would have waited. You would have got alot 😂😂😂
I'm from the zones. But my eyes really opened up when I went to Honduras, mx, the islands. If he visited those places he'd come back with a whole new desire.
I'm from Brazil and sometimes Your videos blow up in my mind how a great channel where I can see the truth real life of american people. Its a little hard understand him but I feel your thoughts and perspective. God bless everybody.
Thanks for your good wishes. The African Americans were enslaved in from the 1600s to 1800s in the USA. They're still recovering from that, as you can see with the whole Black Lives Matter movement, Donald Trump being impeached twice, and the White Supremist raiding capitol hill. Learning the history of the places being document can be very helpful :)
I have a brother who is from Macon. Born and raised there. He hasnt been outside of Georgia and ain't thinking about going anywhere! He wont even visit me (here in California). Has a lot going for him but just want to be stuck there. It's very heartbreaking to me knowing that he could be doing a lot better in life. I finally threw my hands up and left it alone. God bless him. 🙏
EXACTLY!!!!! I agree! Go to the Zebulon Road area. Bass Road. Vineville Avenue. Riverside Drive near the New mall. Show the nice new loft apartments. Show the mansions off Bass Road, on Rivoli Drive. And that's just to name a few. Macon has a rich heritage
I was born and raised in Bloomfield. Deeb Dr. The house beside me has been shot up 3 times a couple years back! Glad the people finally moved! My street is quite again. At least for now, is what I always tell people. Lol
Gotta love the spacious, open floor plan of the one house that Charlie and Yung Cee passed on the way to the mural at 6:01... 😉😀😄😂 And I agree that it "has seen better days", Charlie !
Young man, stack you up some paper, go to a truck driving school, get a CDL, and position yourself for new opportunities. It's a big world out there and you're missing out right now.
It's all he thinks that he has. That "gangsta mentality". For him to even stop and talk and telling some personal stuff explaining why he is"!. It's his choice
@@SKuLLxKruSHeR You probably shouldn't go back to a place that made you miserable. It's sad that they are the only race of ppl who glorify gangster life instead of going to school and getting a good job. And they wonder why they are behind. It's nobody else's fault but theirs.
@@georgelincolnrockwell4659 I don’t think blacks are the only ppl Most people in Gangs around the world glorify there life, it’s sad when people try and only say us blacks do certain things.
Charlie, are these random people you interview or do you set it up before visiting their area? Great videos, man, really admire your dedication to this.
No one has you trapped and this coming from a young black man you choose to be trapped stop blaming people for your own decisions on what you do with your life thats weak man mentality ✌🏾
There is no one trapped in Macon just thuds who live off the Liberal politicians you can get out if you want to that is your problem Blame your problem on someone else?
This is sad how we was taught and made to Live beneath ,that was not What we we're Created for ,We as Knowing Righteousness suppose to uplift Our People not by putting them down or taking their lives, stop this madness or get out the Way!!!!!, tell Our People the Truth!!!!!
I’m from Macon. I love my city, but the truth is that it’s a horrible place to grow up. I’m 28 years old and I grew up with double digit amount of people. Myself included there are 4 of us left. Everyone else died due to gun violence, drug overdose, or suicide. Most of them years before they even got to my age. We don’t get noticed as much here in Macon as people do in Chicago or Detroit because we don’t have as many people, but the violence is here just the same. Although this isn’t the best view of my city. It shows what it looks like to drive through 80-90% of Macon. Except the northside where the rich folks live. But the thing is seeing it is so much different than actually living it. If you think looking at this video is bad. I can’t even begin to explain the hell ive been through while living here other than to go back and reread my comment about how many of my friends are left and I am only 28. God, I pray for my city to finally be at peace. A peace which I know will never come...
@Travers many people our neighborhoods have jobs, but they do not pay enough to get us out. but also i think these videos should show others in the community who have a different mindset as there are many people who live "normal" lives and stay away from the streets. i think if these videos showed that it would help a lot as white people like yourself get a distorted view of the hood from these videos. shoutout to CharlieBo tho i do enjoy these videos just wish he showed another side of the hood not just the negative.
i go to school in Macon & some of the “hood niggas” Ive met really just trynna make it & get by! Everybody isn’t granted the opportunity to a better life. y’all so quick to judge.. I hope he finds a way out and explore! So much more to life than this. God bless.
You definitely blinded by the typical words “Im just tryna get by.” You’re still In school so you have a lot to lesrn. Most dudes say that shit but just be making excuses. No one Is judging some of us actually know what you don’t.
@@zamasu9396 you aren’t aware of what I know, just by a comment. I appreciate the explanation but I said what I said. Majority of the ppl in the comments were saying how he’s ghetto and how bad his lifestyle is...well duh. But no one knows what this man has been through fr. It’s a video and I have my opinion and you have yours
I was born and raised in the "Mactown" (Eastside) that area of Macon where this was filmed is called Unionville and one of the streets I saw was Pansy Ave, throughout the years, this area is known for violence, drugs and murder. I remember when the guy on the wall got murdered.
@susan hurst, He was shot in the back of the head at a convenience store not far from that painting on that bldg, he was the leader of the Gansta Crips, guy came from behind a dumpster and shot him in the back of the head.
@@ChasityXoxo pure ignorance, must have been the company you kept? All places have advantages and disadvantages. I'm no longer in my hometown but visit frequently.
whats wrong with him? just a human being thats brought up in a different place than you. he had maybe nothing and is and behaves that way just because its simply his faith to live such a life on earth. its just how it is
And I wanted to move to Macon, but this is giving me second thoughts. It’s sad how there’re many people in my generation (gen z) that want to live a life of “struggle” in a prosperous first-world country
I remember seeing SW Macon in basketball in the 70s. They looked like a college team . Terry Fair ,Jeff Malone some guy named Hunt and some other dude who was a senior and at the time their best player. what a team > i think the school is closed now but im not sure.
Kinda know how it feels to be him but when I was young I lived in a neighborhood and I lived right by a gang and my brothers was very coo with them n my mom so they was like family same as the whole neighborhood but one day everything change ....specially when that drive by happend n killed my brother ...💔I hope everybody have a great future and live it up while they can and don’t let negativity bring u down ❤️
This gonna be the next spot I volunteer at. So far I've been doing zone 1/3/6 all by myself. It's one thing to talk about poverty and share statistics but it's another thing to really live it or see it first hand in person. Buddy aint ever even left GA... that's fr crazy.
