I have a set of these for days when I can't be arsed going outdoors. Good for little projects and like you said, better than buying a macro lens when you rarely soot macro. Haircut! 😀

Woah! That almost skintone shirt under they grey one in the beginning in combination with your neck and beard drove me insane in the beginning :) Great tips! Just started to experiment with my tubes on GH5

In order to justify the purchase of the Olympus 60mm macro ($600 CAD), I picked up some macro tubes. I haven't spent much time with them, but they have been a LOT of fun. Probably will be more fun once I get a decent tripod (or, uhm, a tripod period) as trying to handhold and focus so closely is a difficult task. I still want that Olympus 60mm macro lens, at some point. I suspect other lenses will come first though.

YES! get a nice small tripod. I have a little Benro one that's excellent. Makes your life a hell of a lot easier with the extension tubes on 😍

Awesomely presented! The two giant takeaways being... Quality extension tubes rock and should be in everyone’s bag of kit! and that is good idea to hide purchases from your significant other, like she tells you the last tube of lipstick 💄 she bought was only £20!! Gosh I hope I didn’t say that out loud!!! 😜

Just picked up the Olympus 60mm macro for £269 brand new, not quite circa £1000 😅 and an insane amount of image quality to go with it. That being said I get the point behind the video 👍

Hows that Oly lens treating you John? Ah I was being dramatic for dreamtics sake. There's macro lenses that would break the bank and do a wonderful job!! But if it's something you want to try and not necesseraly commit to buying a lens the tubes are a fab alternative 😍
