For everyone that's wondering why they made that type of trade, was not necessarily to tank. Spurs & Pop don't work that way. But the word from Murray's agent, was he didn't plan to resign with them. He let management know his intentions, & they rather get picks than lose him for nothing, but yes now this strengthens their rebuild, although I don't see any of these picks going lottery. Maybe Spurs will earn that one themselves next season.

Also the hornets before Hayward gets injured every year is always a top 5 seed in the East. If he can stay healthy, or if the hornets can ship him off for some better pieces, they can be a playoff team not a playin team if the chips fall in their favor

This is the Celtics with IT for the Hawks. Trae is an extremely gifted offensive player similar to how IT was, but their flaws were that they were very small and awful defenders. What did the Celtics do. Put Avery Bradley in the backcourt with him. That helped mask IT’s defensive woes, and adding Murray masks Traes. The only difference is Murray averaged 21, 8, and 9 the season prior.

Trae Young/Dejounte Murray top 4 backcourt in the NBA. I disagree. And Murray is not great off the ball because he can't shoot very well. But I do think it's a great pairing, primarily if either Trae can play off ball at times, and Murray can continue to improve his shooting.

At best, they finish a 5 seed and they will have a tough road through the playoffs and most likely not have home court past the first round.
