Honestly hearing how people hate her character for being a skank(sleeping with her boss who had a wife and child) and her tragic backstory being no exscuse I get it I hate those kinds of people too but Her backstory is more of an explanation to me that an exscuse, she does it for a reason(this song describes it perfectly) which only makes me love her more as a satisfyingly tragic character who gets a wake up call in the end. Maria: I couldn't get her doctor sorry Doctor: *starts up chainsaw* Maria:👁👄👁

This song creeps me the fuck out. Not because of the music but the lyrics. The level of neurotic loyalty and blind obsession is too damn high.

Maria was the most tragic, saved by a man she thought was good, only for him to be wretchedly evil. She had a heart that was suppressed by the evils of others, unable to act on her own.

Anyone ese's favorite character was Dio? No? Just me? Okay.

I'm one of the very few people who actually loves Maria throughout the game. Of course I love Monika and even Alfred but Maria stood out. I never hated her because she was following Alfred's orders otherwise he would kill her but he saved her life and made it worth living so of course she'd love him. Especially after her backstory

"At that point in time I had to decide But believe my words: I still love you, Doctor..." It's a very twisted relationship, and I think her loyalty and desperateness twisted her mind.

And can you believe that the Doctor originally saved Maria only to rip her open like everyone else, but seeing her obsession and love for him made him see more use with her alive, yet she is unaware of his true intentions and stays loyal to someone who originally planned to kill her.

Getting CRAZYYY nostalgia from this. It's been like a whole 7 years since I've listened. Still a masterpiece!

i cannot believe it has been so many years since this masterpiece was released. It feels kinda weird that memories so far back include such a modern creation like a game. Mad father actually had good graphics and when i think back to early games i find it weird that such a good game is in amongst those unrealistic bulky character animations. I didnt word it very well but i hope someone else gets what im trying to say

Well, I mean, wasn't everyone in the Drevis Residence a bit insane? Alfred, kidnapping people and turning them into human dolls. Maria, being so in love with Alfred to the point where she would even assist him in his twisted experiments. Aya, the daughter, trapped in this world of madness. She alone must traverse the mansion, and must even watch as her father dies (Unless you get the bad ending, where Aya dies), and she even takes over her father's will (As scene by the ending cutscene).

I had no idea what this song was about or that it even was from a game, I just was scrolling down and saw this and said "why the hell not?" And Oh my god is this amazing. I absolutely love this, its so suthing and the instruments playing in the background are beautiful. So lovely

I'm actually quiet impress to hear your voice, because usually when I hear covers it never ends well. Your voice is pretty strong, and the 'dramatic' emotion you put towards it is perfect. I didn't like Maria. It's not because of her affair with the doctor, that wasn't of any means to me, his wife got what she wanted in the end and he deserved it. I was mad at Maria because she didn't do anything to stop Aya from taking her father's place and continuing his work. I don't understand how people love her, I can understand wanting to repay the doctor to all means, I'm just confused why she just accepted it.... Goes to show how deranged she really was, she never seemed normal to me anyway. An affair is one thing. To sit by and quietly watch as two people kill to turn others into dolls is wrong regardless of whether that person has family or not. I was so pissed when Dio's words and blessing didn't reach out to Aya. And I was absolutely aggravated that Dio didn't go with them because he felt it would upset them. How? Tell them the truth, that you aren't a spirit and stay with Aya, love her, keep her from becoming demented and crazy like her father. But, that's just my opinion. All arguments aside, I do love the song and how the vocals hit just right. It's beautiful, just like "Still Doll" which is my first and favorite track of the game. Apologies for the paragraph.
