The NFL needs to allow other game companies make simulation games. The worst thing that could’ve happened for Madden was when the NFL renewed their licensing through 2027. EA has no incentive to improve without another competitor in the room. Their NBA Live series went defunct when 2K became the better game

They rip off all their customers. I don't play it, but FIFA is probably the worst rip off EA game since you have to gamble for all your players again every year through basically a lootbox system. I swore I would never buy another EA game a few years ago. I plan to keep that promise. They are ok with ripping off their customers. It was Anthem that made me stop buying their games. They released a $60 game that was boring and broken, then they promised to fix it no matter what it took. A few months later they stopped development on the game. I felt like they literally stole $60 out of my wallet and the wallets of the other 5 million people that purchased the game. That's $300,000,000 that they robbed from people

Doesn’t necessarily fix the situation. For example, there’s no exclusivity for the NHL video games, yet 2K realized it wasn’t financially viable to try and compete with EA and they quit.

24 isn’t a disappointment. I enjoy it, fresh, smooth, solid frame rate, it’s a complete football game. Every single game on earth has a meta/exploit/glitch. That’s reality. Football or nothing, sadly many choose football over nothing. Ea will always win, even if there was another football game, there are like 11 different ones…they just suck

Im not an ultimate team player though I’m talking from a pure gameplay standpoint. Cannot hold up to older versions

Because for a $60 game, you get a half-assed unoriginal story mode, franchise mode, and a minicamp mode that isn’t even close to what it used to be. And the gameplay is clunky. It’s not smooth. The pregame presentation sucks. Can’t even customize the main menu to your favorite team to make it personal to you. And why did they even take all this stuff away anyway? Just to slowly rebuild it again to make the younger crowd think it’s the best Madden ever?

That's what EA does. They remove features so they can bring them back later as "new features". I honestly wouldn't be shocked if they simply commented out the coding for features they remove lol.

my favorite madden as a kid. Run a dive, I'd immediately press left to run outside the tackle then run in circles up the field as the defense also ran in circles trying to catch me... My other favorite was 3-4 defense that always blocked the field goal. Just pressed x twice on the first formation and play you could pick. Switch to the nose tackle and press down when the ball snapped. Always went right past the blockers and blocked the kick.

@frankidd8559 Not always, recently replayed Madden 03 and didn't come across these issues which are now standard in Madden games.

Funny thing is, these glitches have happened for years, this cant be patched its just the base code from madden 13 is fundamentally broken

@frankidd8559 The horrendous bugs that Madden have today was not in the PS1 and PS2 eras. Maybe it's because back then, EA couldn't patch the games after release, so they put in more effort. Now, they don't have to. They can just copy and paste the same awful game every year and make millions.

2k was amazing. I enjoyed gameday too. It was always nice to play the different games because they all played different and had different features.
