Just think, this Maddox fella likely believed that he had not only created an incredible take-down video, but that it was also going to be the catalyst for Justin's channel being absolutely decimated and left in ruin. I theorize this is because I don't see why else would he have released it. After recording it, editing it, and watching it through, if he didn't arrive at such a conclusion, why would he have gone through the effort of releasing it? THIS is why Dick was mysteriously absent in the infamous episode 77, and THIS was the big turning point for everything. >Dick and Maddox's relationship started to crumble from then on. If you listen to the uncut versions of their later podcasts, you can start to feel it. >Maddox ended the podcast on episode 107 without even mentioning Dick AT ALL. >Maddox released the #DickLies video, which was full of untruths, and tried to paint Dick as a rape apologist. Maddox has always been like this. Even when The Best Page in the Universe was at its peak popularity, it always felt bitter, joyless, and needlessly antagonistic in comparison to other comedy websites at the time (shout out to I-Mockery). These are the exact same kinds of jokes and points he's always been making. It always came off like he was deeply insecure, and look at Whang; he's handsome, he's in a rock band, and he has a long, flowing mane of hair. Maddox is washed-up, bald, and has contributed nothing else creatively aside from The ABC's of Manliness, which was basically just the same kind of material as his site. Maddox is old and doesn't like that people in their 30's were influenced by a genre of music he doesn't like because he was a kid when these people were born. He doesn't like that younger people are rediscovering nu-metal and being much kinder to it than people were in its time. He is aging. He is irrelevant. He contributes nothing new or innovative, still spinning his wheels and doing the shtick that got him famous in the first place. He's made enemies because as caustic as his jokes were, he is unable to take any at his expense. This is the most attention he's gotten since the LOLsuit that ruined his reputation. I never liked the dude even as a kid, fuck 'im.

This is so damn weird, I guess I'm a bit of an old head because I remember being really into Maddox's blog back when I was a teenager in the early 2000s so to see how far he's fallen off is bizarre. Like I remember him being a big deal back then, most of my friends knew who he was so I can understand him being mad that the whole world forgot about him when better creators came around. One of the biggest differences between the internet and real life is that longevity means NOTHING online. A lot of people had to learn that the hard way, and Maddox is definitely one of them. If you weren't around in the early '00s, you have no idea how huge this guy was. But the net is like a river, with new stuff constantly replacing anything that stands still, and once you lose your relevance, you don't get it back.

Maddox was funny back in the day because it was rare to see someone so shamelessly edgy, but edgy-ness and humor has evolved, but seems like Maddox refused to evolve as well.

Maddox talks about a lack of polish while: - standing in front of an incoherent smattering of visuals which includes some of the lowest effort baby's-first-Cinema-4D-VJ-loops and retro/synthwave graphics (that's how you know it's at least 4 years old), - couldn't light his green screen or himself well enough to get a consistent edge so had to feather it to hell, - didn't attempt color grading to fix his absolutely ghoulish complexion or, at very least ,to not be washed out on the bright background (that he himself created and could have also corrected), - and can't be bothered to get his camera to work, so he's more out of focus than the point of this "expose" video. It would be a great bit if it were on purpose to satirize Whang, but it isn't because Maddox is not smart enough for that and because this is on par with the rest of his poorly produced video content. The only funny part here is that there are literal children more technologically and cinematically talented than the guy who wrote "I am better than your kids." Keep stacking those L's, Maddox.
