I love this idea and totally agree that the joy of buying clothes is very short lived, but the joy of making your own is so much more long-lasting, from project planning, to the making, to that little spark of joy every time someone compliments you on your clothes and you get to tell them you made it.

I feel like 5-10 years from now, thrift stores will have a revival and be full of handmade pieces by people like us :) The era of buying clothes new is over for me, at least. No more junk. I’d rather spend my time on quality than my money on trash!!

A nude color strapless bra is a very helpful undergarment. You could have more than one to accommodate a deeper neckline...

Enjoyed your vlog 2day! I just subscribed on your last episode. I am also an intense sewist, and always stick to classic styles. Latest endeavor I'm working on is a classic herringbone-type gray tweed notched collar hand tailored jacket which will pretty much harmonize with any color sweater I knit. It will also stay in style for many years to come and that's why I don't mind putting some effort into it so it will stay looking in style. It is truly a joy when I complete things and am able to wear them. If you like I can email a pic to you of the in process jacket and another when it's complete. I'm excited to see the sweaters you knit on in 2024. I'm working on a sweater I found on Ravelry and I was able to use some beautiful yarn I have in my stash. It is called Nature's Cardigan' by Hailey Smedley. It's going to be a very cozy warm sweater when I'm done. Also always have a pair of socks on the needle!!!!! Hi Jacquelyn! I'm Jacqueline 😄 I do enjoy a series like this because too often I see beautiful clothes but then I'll have a pattern or know of a pattern that is very similar! Especially if the ready-to-wear garment is a bit pricey, it's a thrill to be able to make it myself! 💗

LOVE this idea, how fun!! I have fabric on the way for a Donny shirt (or two) ☺️☺️ Also, YES. Customizing is what has led me to make more and more of my clothes. Much more enjoyable to wear things that truly fit how I want them to!
