Be careful handling as saw another review where one of the legs broke off near ankle from very minimal articulation so appears may be fragile (or Maybe just Mafex QC otherwise idk). Thanks much for the review.
I've seen on another video someone snapping off their foot on their copy. Just so it's out there for everyone interested, mine came with the left ankle joint "frozen" as well; but it turns out that it looks like it was broken at the factory, and then glued in. What's disturbing is, there's a swivel joint under the knee; almost as if it was expected that the foot would break on you at some point and you would have to glue it back, allowing it to still rotate. The comments on the other video I saw were also many other people with broken feet on their copies as well, and if you look on the box photos on the back, it also looks like the copy they used to take the photos had both ankle joints snapped off and glued back, because the actual figures' ankle peg sticks out a bit. So if you're opening your copy, and you notice there's a stress mark on your ankle joint; it's most likely broken and unmovable.
Hmmm I'll have to look closely on mine, cos the ball joint on mine doesn't really work either I was only able to swivel it. If it's broken I might as well apply more glue to reinforce it then. That way at least I know and it won't fall off, cos is not like I'll give him dynamic poses anyway so reinforcing it would be fine for u
I just got mine and it looks great but the arms are ridiculously fragile. These 4 hydraulic tubes connecting the arm and chest will out with minimal movement. It’s great but definitely not something you want to manipulate too much
Yes mine is the same situation, but seeing how thin and fragile the plastic is against metal, I don't plan on forcing it. I think the socket joint is gripping the ball really tightly
Where did you originally find it for $70? Japan? I bought the other mafex terminators in akihabara and I believe I paid around $50 each. But I didn’t see this one on the shelf. Or perhaps it was sold out.
Numerous reviewers have reported issues with the ankles, especially the right one. It seems to be a widespread factory defect, unfortunately. This was my most anticipated figure of the year, but it has been a disappointment. Poor articulation, almost no diecast metal parts, and manufacturing issues.
I've been collecting Mafex figures for 7 and a half years and have 115 unique figures of theirs, minus duplicates. Some of the early ones did have some bad qc, but this Endoskeleton is the worst my whole collection. Pieces broke off the two times I have taken the figure out of the box and the fact Mafex charge a lot more for it than any other regular Mafex figure is an even bigger insult. My most wanted 1/12 figure of 2024 turned out be my worst in my collection. :(
@@toys210 The two front thigh pistons. The left one popped out within 5 mins of me unboxing it and I have no idea where it went and then the second time I took it out of the box, the right one popped out but I didn't lose that one. I love the T-800 endoskeleton, but I just think it is too intricate a design that doesn't lend itself to work as a plastic figure.
