These need somewhat gentle handling but are seriously fun to pose & look killer on display. Cost is a little more than quality model kits that need work to match the details on these MAFEX figures. And it's worth noting, that there's no other highly articulated Eva figures in this scale on the market.
I agree with most of this. I think there aren't any other EVA figures like this on the market. I have no clue about model kits so I might overlook some stuff there. The only articulated EVA figures I know are from Revoltech, which are a bit smaller and just not as good imo. But a lot cheaper in price.
@@therealPayne Yes, I have the Revoltech figures. I do like them, but compared to MAFEX's Evas they have a softer sculpt & feel more toy-like than MAFEX's finished model-kit look; with their nice matte finish. Plus I've never really enjoyed the Revo-joints, they're a halfway measure that only works because it keeps costs down & allows for simpler engineering of the entire Revoltech line. BTW, thx for the review 👍
@@therealPayne I'm probably going to try my luck with the Robot Damashii EVA figures instead. The new ones that were shown off. static.myfigurecollection.net/pics/figure/large/906647.jpg
jesus, i regret that i already paid for my eva unit 00, i though they would fix the issues with subsequent releases......guess i will have to coat and paint myself
I regret buying this, its so easy to break somehow, the place to place the Pylon (on the shoulder that can stored a prog knife) is break for no reason, did you know how to fix it?
It's mind-boggling to me how can medicom ask this price for sth that isn't done well... I mean it's not like they can't up their QC. There are actually quite a few of them that shows they can do it, it's just most of the time they don't want to:(
QC is a wierd thing isn't it? How can a company release 3-4 figures in a row where things just don't look so well, but then releases 5-6 look fantastic and on the mark. Nobody knows.
@@therealPayne yeah. I am hoping that the zero unit and unit 13 is going to be good since unit 2 has certain quality upgrade compared to unit 1. I think they might have starting to get a hang of the eva line. One can only hope for the best XD
I have no idea how much it was, that was years ago. No, it is NOT a bootleg, I only buy legit product from legit websites. These EVAs are notorious for their bad QC, i've seen it on other videos.
@@therealPayne what I mean is like there figures are worse for the price they come in terms of everything like some are 400 dollars with no accessories
