@@tcunleashed-unleashyou9351 hi, friend,. I'm desperate to find a magic lantern for my M6 MARK II do you know where I can get the software for my camera for the M6 MARKII?
Finally - the video I was looking for. I just picked up an extremely inexpensive Canon EOS 5D Mark II and am looking forward to setting this up. Thanks for this video.
I can't seem to be able to remove the transparent gray bars from the top and bottom of the screen. Insaw one video that suggested just hittong the trash bin, which does remove them when ML comes up, and they should go away when you exit the menu, but they do not.
I have a Canon 80D and I want to use it to take live videos, I connect the HDMI output to the capturer and from the capturer to the cell phone and only the video comes out, but the audio does not come out. As I do. -Does AUDIO come out via HDMI from the Canon 80D live? -When playing recorded videos if the audio is present. Thank you
Hey quik question.. i am using a Canon 1300D and have the same problem, that i cant get an clean HDMI output. Unfortunately, on the website of Magic Lanter there is no categorie for the 1300D but is there any workaround / solution that i can run the firmware of another simaler camera on it ?
What border do you mean? Is it not fully clean? There's so many potential things you could mean... simply crop it?? You've almost certainly sorted it by now but just incase!
Hi Zulf. Did you also install Magic Lantern on your T2i? And, is Magic Lantern the only way to get clean HDMI output using an older DSLR such as the T2i?
Hi thanks for this video I found it really helpful. I have a Canon Eos M and have followed all the steps. I have turned powersaving off but it is still turning off any suggestions?
Hi Zulf (and others) I'm new to all of this and have a question: Does this apply to running a Live-View external monitor for filming? I have an Mark II as well and want to use a Feelworld 7" or similar
I have a question, if i use another card without the magic lantern files, the camera would work normally as if it did not have the magic lantern software?
So what happens when you take out the SD card and its no longer in the camera. Does the camera just go back to its old setting? Do you need that specific SD card in the camera in order to have a clean HDMI connection?
Thank you for this video, I like that you cover basic but practical aspects with good quality, detailed presentation. I have seen other videos on similar topics but their low production quality made it hard to watch and understand. Keep it up and I'm sure your channel will grow, it's an excellent resource. Good to see Magic Lantern can now supply clean HDMI out.! What is the resolution and pixel ratio (i.e. 16:9, 4:3, etc) of the HDMI out ? Does it depends on the camera model?
Thanks for your kind words the camera ratio depends on the camera, but here is a trick to fix any ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_3zLFzrRrcI.html
There no where listing about Powershot series in magiclantern website. I have recently got a Powershot SX1 IS for free as it had lens issue and I serviced it. EOS webcam utility does not work with that even though Powershot SX70 HS is supported. The differences list is just processor is different Digic 4 vs 8. There are some EOS models as well that use Digic 4 processor. Have to dig into firmware comparisons this week. Even though it has a HDMI port, it only works for playing recorded videos. No Live video.. just that's sad that I cannot use it for live stream. Tried getting access to Cannon SDK since I'm a computer science student but they only have SDK for a specific high end model. That too there is huge selection criteria that I must fit. What do you suggest? EOS 5D Mark ii costs €600 in used condition in Germany. It is not cheap for me. One month's worth of expenditure. (Bought aukey stream series webcam for an urgent need)
Not every camera support HDMI live view. You need to ensure the camera you get offers hdmi out before you think about magic lantern. Magic lanterns purpose is to make a None clean Hdmi into a Clean HDMI. if you camera doesn't support hdmi in the first place you need to look at another option I talked a lot about alternatives in my live stream. See reply here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fYHwiDn6Gjw.html
If we install it we can always revert it back to the old firmware or once you install it u will have to stay with it ? Also , after installing it , all the main feature for using it as a regular still camera still function ?
Your video is very useful, but to be even more useful you should speak more slowly so that what you say can be better understood. Forgive the correction, but it is a pity that some of the substance of what you express is lost because of the fast way you say it. I am a professional broadcaster and actor, and you must remember that on RU-vid you will be seen by people from all over the world, not only native English speakers, so you can have a larger audience for your videos. Thanks for your video, it has helped me with my Canon 5D II which I still find an exceptional machine even in 2021 that can be used much better. :)
Hello! Thank You for making these videos. They're very useful. At 9:37 You mention that You've also made a video about removing bars. Is this the video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_3zLFzrRrcI.html ?
