I work at a magnesium float spa and after floating 3 days in one week symptoms of autoimmune sjogrens reduced 50%. I imagine adding eating a better diet would further reverse it..Amazing this was so Interesting thank you for sharing all your fascinating knowledge.
You girls have done a great job in these interviews….you don’t interrupt him or rush him on, and your questions are relevant (and show you’re actually listening). 😁👍🏻💕
@@StrongSistas Can you do a video with him on autoimmune? I have Hashimotos from 30 yrs and still no cure despite being on thyroid meds and so many supplements. Can you ask him about iodine , mg for Hashimotos and about iron if low ferritin?
This video was SUPER HELPFUL for me!! I switched up my magnesium routine to follow his recommendations and it’s made a world of difference!! Thank you ❤️
Great set of interviews. Morley is such a knowledgeable and nice guy. He is the polar opposite of Jack Kruse. Morley has no ego and takes his time explaining the concepts in detail. Great rapport with the Sistas as well !
1:20 Insulin Resistance. Please do podcast with Morley about Insulin Resistance/ Diabets, PCOS, Hashimoto. I wonder if he thinks Insulin Resistance is reversible in a way that you can be metabolicly flexible once again, have carbs and not being so fragile with everything (lectins, oxalates, gluten, casein etc). Sorry, if my English isn't 100% correct. Thank you for all the podcasts with him.
When my youngest daughter was little she could not cut teeth and could not stand.... We put her on goat's milk and in no time her teeth started coming in and she began to stand and to walk.... It was like a miracle.... Today she is a beautician and stands on her feet most of the day.... She also has beautiful teeth....
@@tanyawieczorek6603 We are doing much better. About this time last year we found the mold in our house that was causing our symptoms. MCAS,MCS food intolerances etc. I still have some brain fog. LDN is what helps the most with that. My daughter still struggles with insomnia and tummy problems. She is non verbal with Down syndrome so it's really hard to know what's going on with her. I would say I'm 80% better and she is around 70%. We are able to eat many more things and the histamine reactions have subsided. 🙏 We still take magnesium daily.
Morley in lecture mode is somehow soothing. A great guest and teacher. The mag/mass ratio is great. I like it better than calcium/magnesium ratio (2:1).
Morley has said Can/Mg ratio of 2-1 is a hoax. They both share the Cor-A pathway, and it will focus on one, or the other, but not both. Whichever has more gets the nod. Morley says to always ingest more magnesium than calcium. Calcium can be a pig. It also knocks zinc out of the box. I really like my calcium sources, but I try to ingest them apart from nutrients that I deem to be essential -- like magnesium (and nutrients from the liver I eat).
Magnesium is so difficult to get back into the cells….but they ‘fortify’ everything with calcium (and the nastiest form that causes strokes)….and they completely ignore the magnesium. But it’s an invisible deficiency because standard doctors blood tests never test for cellular magnesium, so it deliberately conceals the deficiency. So….We don’t need to worry about calcium…it’s the magnesium we have to focus on and the abundant and more easily absorbed calcium will take care of itself.
Thank you for the extremely informative videos! Unfortunately difficult at times due to the difference in volume between Morley's soft microphone and Strong Sistas loud microphone. Perhaps that can be adjusted in the future?
Always dropping the knowledge bombs...thanks for empowering us all with the basics + the intricacies of something like magnesium. It MIGHT be my favorite mineral, so it's always delightful to fill up my own knowledge cup!!!
Hi! Thank you so much for sharing Morley Robbins!!! New pieces of the Health Puzzle! Fascinating..esp. the Iron episode! If you can, can you please ask him about Fibroids?? I have a few loved ones who suffer greatly from Uterine Fibroids....Much Appreciated! Thank you...Women are Smarter!
Very helpful to mute it all, transcribe the dialogue generated by the Closed Captions feature, then record the transcript yourself using a basic laptop microphone, your unhurried voice, and Audacity software, which makes great .mp3 files. This bypasses audio problems and short-circuits ads; poor sound quality. You miss the very real teaching skills of Morley Robbins, which are estimable, but-- solid. No ads or sound problems; all the content-- Score! Again, for all of these videos with him: the content is beyond outstanding; it's just that the sound levels could be improved greatly. Redoing it with speed adjustment also is a great tip but if you have time it is best just to ditch the audio as I've said. I've pointed it out for his staff but their response was: it is my problem. .... No longer. :)
The sound really isn't equalized....the Strong Sistas seem to be in a big room with hard surfaces and the audio really suffers... (nothing wrong with Morley Robbins, though-- it's just that in going back and forth, he seems quiet because the Strong Sistas are so loud and the room creates harsh effects). What to do? For all their videos, I mute everyone, turn on captions (which aren't perfect) then transcribe the captions. I read my handwritten transcript in my own voice and record it in Audacity. No loud dialogue, no ads, no "you guys" language, which isn't inclusive, and no huge audio imbalance that makes adjusting the volume impossible. My way is time-consuming but worth it! I re-listen to my .mp3 recordings a lot. I recommend this until the audio is fixed-(?). The content is great, of course. But not equalizing the audio makes this excruciating to listen to....my ears buzz! Hang a quilt on the wall (?)--
I have to say, I had a blood vit D level of 168 at the end of the summer last year after ONLY spending intentional time in the sun. When the hormone is naturally produced, levels can get really high. Only when it's high from supplementation is when it can be toxic.
Not really. High levels of vit d need magnesium and k2 to keep them in check. People are being healed from MS. Lupus, Cancer and on and on from supplemental vit D. I enjoy Morley but he is either oblivious to people healing from such or he is in denial.
@@thetimeoftheendii1586The problem with supplemental Vit d is that it is a hormone. Yes, it works but it according to critics it can damage your body in some way. But i am no expert in this topic.
Wooo strong Sistas you guys are an inspiration! Merging the nutrition and farming worlds that have been separate for so long now. It is my dream, growing highly nutritious food in a permaculture food forest type set up with some live stock and maybe a even 4 season greenhouse with an aquaponic fish farm. I haven’t yet checked out every video on your channel but give me a week lol I just found you guys today. If you haven’t heard of Jeff lowenfels you really should be is right up your alley. My theory is that if you get your soil food web right and on top of that have a solid permaculture system you could have some amazing food.
I've heard Morley state that potassium status can't be restored until magnesium is restored (magnesium regulates the electrolytes). Also, vitamin D supposedly results in renal potassium wasting according to Morley. I've heard that boron and bicarbonate help magnesium into the cell. I make magnesium bicarbonate per the recipe on toxinless.com. After I make the Mg-bicarb, I add in 3/4 tsp. potassium bicarb, and end up with magnesium/potassium bicarbonate. It is cheap, too. I bathe my blood with magnesium throughout the day (I add the Mg/K bicarb to my drinking water and then put the glass gallon jug out in the sun before drinking it).
@@sydney88888 Potassium comes from green leafy vegetables -- try eating lots of homegrown or organic veggies. Low storage D is a poor measurement that leads to profitable decisions for the system, IMHO. Low storage can correlate to high active, which is a response to systemic inflammation. Deal with the Inflammation and everything works out. Maybe try juicing to get more green nutrients. I make soups 8n my glass coffee pot -- and they turn out nicely. I just turn the coffee pot's heating pad on and add organic Better than Bouillon once it is hot. Once mixed as a broth, I add my chopped veggies. Cilantro goes great with this. My coffee pot is all glass, so no iron or plastic toxicity (maybe a little from the cover, but that's a small fraction of what it would be, if it is a problem at all.
Nitric oxide is an important vasodilator and when vessels dilate you get more efficient oxygen uptake. For red light - think infrared for healing, etc.
I use magnesium chloride flakes and distilled water to make magnesium oil to apply transdermally. I add MSM/sulfur and some essential oils. (As per Vic Cozzetto)
Thanks for being so open and sharing your story, I just started following and researching Kate Deering and ray peat, grateful for your contributions in the diet world and interviews!! Would be constantly be trying carnivore unsuccessfully without your influence!! Much luck to your farm and new lifestyle 💕💕💕
ALOHA! Please address the following wrt Iron : Copper balance/imbalance: -- Will the anti-oxidant, Astaxanthin interfere with RCP? -- Is it okay to add H2O2 in Epsom salts bath? -- Is it okay to add H2O2 in homemade toothpaste? -- Bacon? -- How does a high hsCRP (High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein lab result factor into this story? -- Does meat cause inflammation?
I'd say meat can be inflammatory if you dont balance it out with thinks like gelatin and broth. I personally would never take astaxanthin and dont think we need it .
Great interview! Learned so much. Like it is far more than just tweaking magnesium levels or which brand of supplements to take. Please do that follow-up video on autoimmune issues, specifically rheumatoid arthritis. Round of applause for Dr. Morley and his wife!
Great video. I would love to see more information about vitamin D. I am supplementing with vitamin D per my doctors recommendation and always hear that we need more vitamin D than what is recommended however, he said vitamin D doesn’t need to be above 21.
So which magnesium should I take and how much magnesium should I supplement the video is too long and my language not good can you respond to my question thanks
I suspect you don't get enough potassium. I track my intake in Cronometer. I have to add 3, 1/4 teaspoons of Nusalt (potassium chloride) to my food to keep my sodium potassium ratio at 2:1. RDI is about 4700mg a day for potassium. Don't overdo potassium.
Question to Mr. Robbins: 1. How do you get all your minerals (Magnesium, Copper and Iodine and Potassium) on carnivore without supplementation, how to get rid of Iron without bleeding (Children on carnivore)? 2. Please supply links to any study supporting the claim that "babies are anaerobic" and 3. Name the 10 "anaerobic enzymes" that need Magnesium. Thanks in advance!
@@jonthompson1068 Thank you for your concern 😊. I wouldn't dream of doing that. Eskimos (inuit) don't do it and are perfectly healthy. As do the Masai, Hadza, and a multitude of cultures. No fruit is available all round the year.

Strong Sisters and Dr. Robbins are my favorite human beings on earth. You have no idea what are you guys to people like me, who in the verge of dying is trying to have a ray of hope from your videos. If I feel better from this protocol. I will dedicate my life to you people.
Very informative interview, thank you! I would like to know the relationship between the minerals and chronic low ferritin. I have been getting IV iron for anemia (low ferritin). My ferritin is consistently under 10 and the healthy range I have been told is 80-100. I’m wondering what I can do for this?Thx
Strong.Sistas I did go back and watch most of Part 1 (it was late so I need to finish it). If I’m remembering correctly, he did mention low ferritin might have something to do with the spleen? I’m not holding on to the iron (at least according to ferritin testing) and wondering if I am truly anemic or it’s being stored somewhere else? 😬 Trying to navigate fatigue and classic anemia symptoms and do feel better after IV iron but wondering also if I might have bound (unavailable) copper throwing off the iron? Thanks so much for these wonderfully educational interviews.
GAPS diet and high quality probiotics plus heavy on fermented foods - sour kraut, raw milk kefir and heavy cream cultured into yogurt = turned our son from ghost pale to rosy and pink by stage 3. Spring water from a natural spring down the road, plus a home made powder of Mag malate, Mag citrate, Himalayan or Celtic salt, and potassium chloride, potassium citrate = home electrolyte we use. I’ve since found out migraines are cured by electrolytes as long as it’s taken early... I used to believe Morley’s caution against citrates and sodium ascorbate. After following his protocol and nearly going into cardiac arrest I changed a couple of things. Just followed the good stuff, discontinued the bad stuff. Do your own research. This guy is headstrong to his detriment and has lost a lot of very intelligent benevolent and patient friends over the years. I hope no one has died. I know one person that made it to the ER and survived. And that’s only from what I know. Do your own research. He does not understand that there is not a one size fits all. God bless!
So can you take a combo of different ones to add up that 5mg per pound. Like if you take 800 can you split it 200mg across 4 diff types malate, glycinate, taurnate and treonate?
@@StrongSistas I'm considering throwing out my cast iron pan and just switching to stainless steel since I think the iron overload can be an issue for men. Have you guys ever done a 23 and me ancestry test to find out your true heritage?
I’m convinced magnesium is what got me off of beta blockers for irregular heartbeat, but I think I take too much and not sure it’s the best brand, so this is very helpful , but the Albion website I found is spam. I did find some on myoxcience (Mike Mutzel) website and I trust ordering from them . Does anyone have another source? Would love spray form also.
I use a clear liquid mineral magnesium called mega mag here in Britain….for anyone prone to getting gallstones stuck in the duct and where the pain just erupts so bad you’re locked like a statue mid-move and can’t breath….take three or four pipettes of mega mag in a shot of orange juice (to hide the mineral taste) and I kid you not, within 5 to 10 minutes the duct relaxes from the magnesium, the pain drops right down, and you don’t need to call an ambulance! The stone can pass a lot easier. It’s criminal that this remedy isn’t given to people with gallstones/congested livers and gallbladder’s! Magnesium is a lifesaver in more ways than we realise. 😁👍🏻💕
Morley was talking about citrate regardless of what it was chelating. So yes it might not be the best choice but it is a less expensive choice. Better to have the mag than not. Mag citrate. Mag on a budget!
He does not understand that your body makes it’s own form of citrate - Mag, potassium, etc. Citrates are inexpensive and work great. It’s advisable you get most of the potassium from food. But I do get relief from migraines taking Pedialyte when I’m on the road. You have to find what works right for your body. There is no one size fits all like he likes to portend.
Magnesium oxide is mined from the earth. Therefore less soluble but also inexpensive and stable (and the reason in supplements = cost). In general, earth based minerals are mined because they are less soluble by design and also lower bioavailability.
How do you suggest I decrease my iron load if I am pregnant? Per the Red Cross, pregnant women are not eligible to donate blood (bc they think that you need all that iron! )
He is just gr8. Such a lovely and smart guy. His explanation of the immune cells getting stupid bc of iron overload doesn´t make a whole lot of sense to me yet though because the body isnt designed to attack itself such a lineage would have never evolved.
i would try to get copper from whole food sources such as bee pollen, oysters. And also getting a mineral test to see your levels! We are chatting with Morley about this tomorrow, so stay tuned for that video coming out this week!
@Strong.Sistas, could you ask Morley why someone would get restless, sweaty hands and feet, and feeling generally unwell while taking magnesium? I can't even tolerate 150mg of magnesium, it disturbs my sleep and makes me feel very poor. At the same time, my magnesium RBC is only 4.6 and I have PVCs so I really wish I could use this because people swear by it helping. By the way, I have tried all sorts of different kinds of magnesium, Remag, Calm magnesium, Glycinate, taurate, it does not matter, I have the same problem with them all. I need help , I am so desperate LOL Thanks so much!

Any thoughts on a rare condition called Erythromelalgia, hot red feet or other peripheral areas of the body? Very rare, 1.5 people per 100.000 so I don't expect much. Certainly something that Big Pharma has no interest in. But I suspect Iron plays a role and magnesium.
So I tried the root cause protocol for about 9 months even donated blood. Big mistake, for me at least. My ferritin dropped to a three after being at 33 and hemoglobin went to 8. I am now so fatiqued but yet still can't sleep because the lack of oxygen is causing my nervous system to be in fight or flight mode because of the anemia. It's hell! I am now supplementing with iron as well as eating liver as per my doctors advice. Perhaps Morely doesn't take into account how much some woman bleed. I followed everything and honestly felt ok until I donated blood. There are so many wellness theories out there all claiming to be better than others that they contradict. You really have to take it all with a grain of salt especially when there are people profiting. Doctors really aren't all that bad and to act like people used to be healthier in the past is just completely naive.
Thanks for sharing your experience I was thinking of donating blood but not sure because I heard you have to give two cups and that seemed too much. Your experience helped me have cautioned about the whole idea
Thanks for sharing these stories are very important for all of us. Did you ever get to tell your situation to a rcp doctors ? I def won’t be donating blood I feel like I need some but, I was gonna start and give the protocol a try. I’d like to here what they have to say about your situation
