That's what I love about magneto as a character. On every comic run I agree with him wholeheartedly, the world is a horrible and racist place. He's suffered so much, not just because he's a mutant but because he's polish and Jewish. His abilities have very little to do with his outlook. He hates various groups for good reasons... they are bigots. The older I get the more I side with him. Professor x is too kind to nasty people.

I love how Eric takes his time here he’s revelling in his revenge, the way he slowly reveals the number on his arm and then after disarming the guy with the knife he looks at it and reads it’s inscription and instead of just making the knife cut them all down he pins the guys hand down keeping him there while he deals with the other two guys slowly moving the gun towards the tailor and killing him then killing the bartender then finally finishing the first guy off but not before stabbing him in the hand once again to really just rub it in I love this scene magneto has always been one of my fav characters and to see him in his younger days in his prime and played by a great actor Michael fassbender is just perfect the movie itself isn’t great I’ll admit but because of this portrayal of the character(aswell has James mcavoy Xavier too) and his story i find myself drawn back to it every once and awhile

This scene is such a perfect example of every aspect of filmmaking working together in perfect harmony. The writing is clever, the acting is immaculate, the score is exciting, the editing is crisp and easy to follow, the CGI is well done, the color grading is gorgeous, and obviously the direction of all those things is perfect. Everyone involved in this movie should be immensely proud.

This scene is so cool. I'm glad to see in this ''version'' probably blue ray, they fixed 2:19 When it first came out, Fassbender and the other guy were both frozen until the knife came back. The music was almost everything in this movie. The only thing that always bugged me is the shadow at the end. The guy was sitting with his hand stabbed into the table. Not standing up.

The perfect villain. Dead calm, unstoppable, virtually invincible, not constrained by moral boundaries and a part of you can't help rooting for him, because in his mind he's just looking for what he honestly sees as justice. There a perverse joy in Edgar Allan Poe styled revenges. The perfect villain, just a shade away from the Punisher, with enough power to take out half of the Avengers in few seconds. In my humble opinion, 1st class ie the best superhero movie ever made, mostly because Fassbinder and the musical riff.
