This really showed the point/counterpoint between Charles and Erik. Charles was incorruptible, but sometimes Erik’s methods were correct given the situation.

They are the opposite of the same coin. Either way alone won't work. Since to have conversation as equal, one need to be power, to be ruthless, to be feared, at least they to make others feels that. Once that is achieved, then they need to have sympathy, compassion and daring to sit down and have a nice cup of tea with the opponent. Erik satisfy the former but lacks the latter, Charles can do the former but can achieve the latter. However, Erik will always appear to be more successful since being strong and feared is what enable conversation, thus Erik will always progress faster than Charles, but he cannot progress any further with violence and fear.

She is one of the worst parts of this, specifically because of her terrible acting. I can't stand her or Jennifer Lawrence, but at least JLaw got to redeem herself as Mystique in DOFP, where she actually gives a great performance compared to the crap in this.

Gosh I just loved when Erik was on their side still! He wasn’t worried about being a hero or having a conscience, he just got stuff done! Reminds me of Future Trunks from DBZ. Sometimes you have to treat evil with evil to win. Charles and Erik are like Goku and Vegeta, the perfect balance. One is too extreme and one is too soft but together they are the perfect team.

I like how Charles was freaking out, but Eric was in complete control the entire time. He had a completely pragmatic plan, and didn't go past it at all. Charles keeps his morals no matter what, but Magneto gets results.

It was not solid metal. Magneto was creating a pressure into that metal. So naturally the gas inside the hollow tube should go out and the energy will be exerted. Magneto manipulated the atom of the metal to create pressure and also used the internal pressure of the air. The simultaneous attempt of the air to go out as well as molecular pressure inside the atom only multiplied and created like 6.2 M atmosphere pressure and broke the diamond. I'm no expert but read it in a tabloid page years ago

@@flickrebeat8936 Gold (as in "real" gold as you say) is a soft transition metal, so it's not the point the user above is making. While diamond is indeed the hardest substance in existence, it isn't hard to "break" because you can cause pressure build up within the diamond itself. When Erik strangles Emma with the bed frame, he is essentially doing what diamond cutters do too. Put strain on the diamond along weak points (because if there were no weak points, she wouldn't be able to move), and it cracks to release pressure. So nothing about that was a loophole or a mistake.

@@John64125 Magnetic force is basic force of the universe. Altough certainly artistic licence. IRL you can change property of any material with it. -> in his rage Magneto used it not conciously like in his later years.

They have “sex” choreographers in movie sets, the make a choreography before the shoot and ask everyone in the scene if is okay, the sets they boundaries and they are constantly checking everything up in case of some of the people involved gets exited.

This scene was full of PIS. Emma shouldve sensed Charles and Eric before they were able to get in the room. Upon entering, she couldve instantly made Eric attack/subdue/murk Charles. And using the same mind control, couldve made Eric her thrall, or just wiped his mind altogether. At this point in lore, Emma is second only to Charles in telepathic psionics. This encounter was not good imo.

On top of her need for oxygen, Magneto can literally manipulate the magnetic poles of the earth and atomically split railroad tracks and wind them into the machinery of sentinels. I don’t think crushing diamond with that level of magnetism is far fetched at all, especially when you consider that diamond is very far from unbreakable. In some cases it’s even brittle.

Another instance where Erik was right along with the scene where he killed Shaw. Charles would’ve never gotten the answers in this situation without Magneto and later on if they kept Shaw alive he very well may have escaped capture and killed Erik and Charles.

да, но события в 60х, так что фактически там ещё СССР, и выделен на карте весь СССР, даже герб влепили. Однако вместо USSR написали RUSSIA, видимо потому что основная часть аудитории (или сами сценаристы?) идиоты
