Well even among mutants, Charles and Eric are classified as X Level threats (World Ending) in the X-Men Universe, there are very few mutants who ever made it on that list, but those 2 have been on that list since they were young men. Magneto can destroy the world and Prof X can control the entire world with his abilities enhanced by Cerebro or other powers.

@@jazzman7320 sadly they keep screwing it up, First Class & Days Of Future Past saved the franchise and gave them the momentum they needed to rebuild the story but Apocalypse crashed and burned and Dark Phoenix buried it 10 feet under the soil.

@@Phantom-ZER0 Crazy how both the X Men franchise and the MCU have both gone on these disaster trains for a few years, all due to bad writing. The characters are loved, the actors are solid, and there are previous films that people love, yet somehow they just manage to have crap ones come out. In the case of the X Men franchise, Apocalypse was mid and Dark Phoenix was flat out bad. In the case of the MCU, Eternals was useless, while Thor 4, Doctor Strange 2 and Ant Man 3 just had shit writing and poor character development.

@@jorgeortiz4485 i mean for the MCU, they at least left a legacy behind in The Avengers Infinity Wars films, they've peaked in all of cinematic history. With 4 of the 6 original avengers now gone, they and we as well knew that things would no longer be the same. With the sad passing of Chadwick as well, we lost a very loved and good actor in Black Panther and the franchise is in a bad place. The actor for Khang also fucked it up for them by ruining his own life as well as the follow-up Avengers film where he was set to be the main villain. As you mentioned, these past few movies really had some shitty writing. The only good franchise the MCU has left is Spider-Man and they're playing that really close to the chest for the next film cuz they know it too. The New Captain America film trailer dropped the other day and it didn't even trend, that's just sad.

it's only now that i realized Erik used his powers when the plane was crashing and pinned Charles down to prevent him from ragdolling around. what true friends would to do each other. such a shame the methods to their ideals won't lined up.

This scene is so good. But the Iron Man first suit up? Hulk “I’m always angry” followed by the camera circling around the Avengers with the theme playing, Thor arriving in Wakanda, Cap using Mjolner, there’s at least 5-10 Marvel scenes equal to this.

Even without that, Wolverine getting up from headshot, Quicksilver saving Eric, Charles and Wolverine in pentagon, Quicksilver saving Xavier school students, Quicksilver beating the shit out of apocalypse, Magneto lifting the whole stadium and using it as a shield.. dude I can go on.. they did all these with limited budget.

For those who can control metal, manipulate any object at will with their minds, and control the weather, it’s all controlled purely through their emotions. Eric learned that even rage is not always the answer for his powers. And he had a great teacher who taught him the difference between rage and serenity. But sadly after learning how to better control his powers, he walked down a path that neither side could walk side by side together. But the most important thing was the times they spent together as friends.

I love how in any other superhero movie when people see someone doing something like that they are like "OMG ITS A SUPERHERO" in X-Men it's basically a story of the whole weird seeing what you'd expect to be that scenario but instead everyone is like "Wtf are these freaks. How can they do this, kill them before they breed." It's a more realistic take on the superhero world. Even calling them Mutans gives the impression they are shunned by the world. Out of all of Marvel I feel like the X-Men stories are the most grounded in terms of how they fit into the world.

@@geoff3103 if you actually pay attention it has VTOL nozzles front and rear and additional intakes. Clearly the way they're fitting it into the real world is implying that the real SR71 was a non VTOL varriant and this is the prototype of what would later become the X-Jet.

It is a bit silly. That sort of sub would drip water for a while, as the outermost hull isn't watertight, it's more like a shell around the inner pressure hull. Of course, that style of design was way before nuclear power, so still makes no sense . Not to mention basically break apart if it was thrown on a beach...

In the "official" report to Navy Intelligence and the GRU (on the Soviet side) " I don't know what type of magnet was in the aircraft but we HAVE to get it to!". Also the Cubans would've been there on the beach observing this. And privately, I know the American Captain is thinking he'll get locked up in padded room in Bethesda for the rest of his days, while the Soviet Captain knows he'll suffer an ice-pick induced brain hemorrhage.

That's an SR-71 Blackhawk. They literally *cannot* fly at low speeds and don't carry passengers and certainly wouldn't be used for anything other than extreme altitude surveillance... But it's a movie and it looked cool, probably most people will look right past it, so it's fine.

The X-Men movies have this weird thing where they all have great moments, great characters, great music, truly memorable, but they're still bad movies. Look at Wolverine, save for Logan, all his movies are terrible, truly abyssmal. And yet, everyone knows Wolverine from the movies. Unforgettable performances, great effects, terriffic music, awful scripts, always. It's like it's part of the contract or something.
